I was using Proto theme as well.
The problem I found was with one of my plugins. I believe it was a Bitcoin gateway checkout plugin.
Disable groups of plugins at each time to narrow down which one it is.
Also, make 100% sure everything is up to do as far as your plugins.
Proto just came out with an update a few days ago, I believe.
