In reply to: RSS feed won’t show Full Text<b>Turns out the problem is with Pipes truncating the feed as it renders. Going to the Pipes forums now.</b>
I’m having a similar problem. At this point, we’re migrating away from our crappy blogging platform and over to wordpress, so I have to use Yahoo Pipes to bring in the RSS feed from WP. Here is the WP feed I need:
https://11aliveblogs.com/index.php/category/values/feed/
As you can see, it’s displaying the full entry. However, when I put it into Yahoo Pipes, it continues cutting off the entry. Here is the pipe:
https://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_id=80c41638bb6b2252cf349c413ad7c9f1
If an entry is naturally “truncated” by Yahoo, it only shows a regular …, but when it’s truncated by WP, it shows […]. So, as you look at it, you’ll see the bracketed ellipsis.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

In reply to: error after upgradingRESOLVED by myself: I forgot to upload the root directory of WP. So please feel free to ignore my ignorance. I got so swept up in backing up the right stuff that I lost track of my steps.
*******************
Fatal Error achieved:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_remote_request() in [godaddy.com hosting account]/html/wp-includes/update.php on line 58
Occasionally, I also get the error in cron.php on line 201.
I did everything instructed:
1. Delete wp-admin.
2. Delete wp-includes.
3. Back up wp-content.
4. Delete wp-content.
5. Upload wp-content.
6. Run upgrade.
7. Upgrade Database (WP’s upgrade system said I needed to, so I did). That’s when I got the above fatal error.
I then tried to re-upload my plugins (all one of them) and themes (all one of them), and still achieved a fail.
Suggestions?
My solution was from Anonymous:
I had a similar fix myself. I basically deleted the default path for the “Store uploads in this folder” field in “settings/miscellaneous” and put the full path in the “Full URL path to files (optional)” field.
I also CHMODded /wp-content to 755 and /wp-content/uploads to 777. I selected “organize by month/year”. It’s working fine now.
It’s amazing how much little stuff can go wrong.

In reply to: images upload but dont showI am having a similar problem. I kept getting this error:
Unable to create directory /wp_uploaded_files. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
I have made the directory as well as everything else on the site 755 permission. However, I continue achieving FAIL. I even tried creating a new directory and giving it 777.
