In reply to: How do I change my website admin email?thanks, it looks like I am getting an error:
“SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.”
But it’s weird because this is the only time I ever have an issue. I purchased my domain from Name Cheap but have the DNS pointing to Bluehost (which is my hosting site). So I went to Bluehost and added an SPF record like the link you provided above, is that all I need to do then wait?

In reply to: [BulletProof Security] .htaccess file modified by BPS makes website not workyeah it’s not working, i went back through the steps again. it locks me out of the site and automatically downloads a file (you can try it, razoredgeknives.com) until I delete the .htaccess file again and disable BPS pro

In reply to: [BulletProof Security] .htaccess file modified by BPS makes website not workok I got to step 8, however, it won’t let me access the back end any more… a new .htaccess file was generated w/ the error code already. i’ll try deleting it again

In reply to: [BulletProof Security] .htaccess file modified by BPS makes website not workas soon as I activate BPS it modifies the .htaccess file and breaks the site. I did as you said, then replaced the .htaccess file with a backup and it worked for about 15 secs before breaking again (when BPS updated the file I assume)

In reply to: [BulletProof Security] .htaccess file modified by BPS makes website not workthanks. I did that but it broke my site again.
you can also delete all .txt files except license.txt (the lower case one, upper case one is for Weebly and can be deleted) and robots.txt
ok… when going from weebly to wordpress, or to delete your weebly account this is what you need to do. First of all, follow the link posted above (i.e. edit the .htaaccess file and then delete the index.html file). but for me, the problem still persisted in that i would still be displaying the mobile version of my weebly site even though the desktop version went to my new wordpress site. i went into my Weebly website builder and went to settings, and unchecked the box to make it compatible with mobile devices, then i re-published. This fixed the problem.
The blue host tech support rep. said that I can then go through my entire bluehost server with the file manager (in your control panel) and delete any and all .html, .xml, .htm files that i find without suffering harm. I hope this helps some of you, be sure to check all of the folders on your server to get rid of all the remnants.
ok thank you… i’m on the chat with them now. i will post update in case anyone in the future needs help on this issue…
any more suggestions? still not resolved… I think there is remnants somwhere on my bluehost server that I can’t find that need to be deleted… I can still log into my Weebly account and see the page that its displaying. But I don’t know how to delete weebly association?
Yeah, it was, I had my weebly site on my bluehost server… but I found this and followed the instructions. Don’t know why its still showing up! This is frustrating… thank you so much for your help!
what other site? i didn’t see one other than razoredgeknives.com…
how do i check on the redirect in the htaccess file?? what am i looking for?
