In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Export problemHello All,
@jantan because of changes in the formatting and databases in pro, only the forms can be migrated over, not the entries.
I’ve let our great developer, Matthew, know about the issue with the free version and will post once I hear back from him. Any data, errors or information that you all can provide, I would be happy to pass over to him.
Thanks!
Joseph

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Export problemHello All,
I have let our developer know about this issue with exporting that a few of you are having. I’ll let you know when we hear back from Matthew on it! In the mean time you may consider taking a look at our pro version at https://www.vfbpro.com.
Thank you,
Joseph

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] User Level AccessHello GL,
You would need to get a 3rd party plugin that manages permissions in order to do so. Member Area is a decent one that would allow you to set the permissions as desired for different user levels.
Hope this helps,
Joseph

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Alignment issueThe form design pulls from your theme, so you will want to use a CSS identifier like firebug or google developer tools, to identify which rules are causing your form to do this, and then write rules to override it or create new rules. Basically something is causing a design conflict with the rules set by the form.
Hope this helps,
Joseph

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] POST on submitIntegration with a 3rd party vendor would require some additional development, of course. In this case you would need to hire a developer to assist you with such a task as this.
Thanks,
Joseph

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Export problemThank you both for your feedback on this, I’ll certainly pass this over to our developer for consideration to make sure something did not happen in the most recent update, and if it did that we get is corrected.

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Export problemHello,
I am sorry you are having persistent problems with the export on our free version. There are so many things that could cause this, I’ll try to give you more ideas here:
1. your php settings are causing a timeout, which is making the export be only partial
2. Your database is corrupted
3. The form is broken or malformed corrupted because of database problems
4. You might remake the form and see if the problem persistsHope this helps!

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Auto update pluginHello,
Auto update is a feature of WordPress, not of VFBPro per say. Your best bet would be to try to roll back to a backup you have. You will want to make sure you have autoupdate set to your liking in WordPress, our plugin does not update by itself.
Thanks,
Joseph

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Export problemDid you try deactivating your theme? This seems like a conflict to me. We have seen this VERY occasionally, but very very rare. maybe 1 or 2 instances a year.

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Export problemHello and Good morning,
We are sorry you are having a problem with exporting. There are a few things I can suggest with this.
1. There could be a possible conflict with another plugin or theme causing the export issue. Caching plugins tend to cause issues.
2. You may be running a low php version on your server, make sure you are running 5.4 or better.
3. Your database could be corrupted or broken.
4. You could try deleting and re-installing our free version in case something went wrong on your first install.
Hope this helps, have a nice weekend.

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] SO disappointed with VFB PRO 3Hello Ketil,
Thank you for your comments and feedback about VFBPro. We do value your feedback, please understand that our requirements regarding server settings, are very common place as php sets allowed variables, and amount of variables in a php process to a database. Our developer employs the latest technology, because your server did not meet our requirements does certainly not mean that our plugin is broken. In fact you are going to begin to see a lot more plugins demanding higher php limits and versions as changes as the architecture of WordPress changes.
All of the big name form builder have pros and cons. VFBPro has 100s of features, some of them very unique only to VFBPro, which is why it is used on tens of thousands of websites worldwide, and is one of the most recognized form builders for WordPress.
We do however understand the challenges with the new conditional logic, while it works and functions well, it is a little harder to use than our previous version.
I am not sure the entire context of your review above is entirely accurate, otherwise our plugin would not be so widely used, and enjoyed by 600,000+ people that have downloaded the free version and many who have purchased our pro version. The 1 star in your review seems a little harsh given most of the complaints you have above were related to your server, not our plugin….
Thanks again,
Joseph

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Adding fields with different namesHello,
Dynamic field generation requires hooks with VFBPro, they will not work with our free version. It also would require some programming and development knowledge to get it to work correctly. Similar to the example you posted above. Hope this helps.
Thank you,
Joseph
