Here’s the background. I bought this theme some time ago for a client and I updated the theme for theme as and when there were new updates using a child theme to preserve any changes made. I stopped working for this client and then I started working with them again. The theme wasn’t updated for some time when I resumed working with them. When i updated the parent theme it returned an error and I cant even view the site. I was then told I need to update the child theme for the site to work as per the instructions in my first post.

While I have some WordPress experience it is limited to basic stuff and I just need some guidance on updating it. Just wondering how I update the child theme as instructed.

Hi Andrew, thanks for the reply. Im not sure I explained myself properly. I have around 10 links on the page in question and they are all fine except for 2. The link colour is red and the links in question (ie the 2 that re not fine) have a red background so they dont actually appear ie you cant see them. I just want to change the link colour for those links(so they are visible) while not affecting the colour of the other links on the page. Is this possible to do?

Just to clarify. If I do lose my phone all I need to do is go into the plugins folder via FTP and delete the folder for this plugin so I can thereafter get in via a username and password. Correct?

I’m not sure I can do this without help and I preferably want to just drive people to a specific list rather than give them a choice. Just to be clear, its for the same Mailchimp account but for a specific segment I want to set up. I want the website to drive people to 1 list while one section of the site will drive people to another.

At the moment I have one for website subscribers as collected throughout the site and the other list is for a specific guest blogger. Ideally I want to use the sidebar to collect for both lists (separately of course) and I’m not sure how to differentiate one from the other in the settings and when creating the forms.

Any pointers for doing this would appreciated.

Just to clarify, the ‘Send Email Preview’ sends an email notification to me and me only if I am the logged in user in the WP dashboard. Correct?

Regarding {TITLE} can you clarify what you mean here? What Im looking to do is to send the title of any new blog posts to subscribers so they can see it in their inbox. Will it do this?

Let me see if I can find some details for Studiopress. I may contact them and explain situation as what I do know is that the theme was bought in July last year and that’s all I’ve been able to find out to date!

I dont know. Today has been the only day where I’ve made an addition to the style.css file and that was around 9/10 lines.

No as the theme was bought before I started helping out with the site so I don’t have any details!

Hi and thanks for this but this hasn’t worked or it doesnt look like it has. I’ve added it to the bottom of the style.css FYI. I’m assuming it is supposed to add a gap between the menu and header image. I’ve cleared my cache to check it too.
