In reply to: Comment notificationOk I was able to upload it using FTP
Now where is the plugins menu #3
I tried the “plugins” which is next to “settings” in my dashboard but no “options” tab # 4 and no sign of the comments-notifier there?
Am I in the wrong place?
Dont cha just love the word “simply.” Simply to me is = to complete step by step details, not incomplete sentences where the instructor assumes that everyone is a WordPress graduate. By the way just so you know I am a beginner.

In reply to: How do I add my own image to my blog header?Yea, this is what we did with the FTP
Rename your image to kubrickheader.jpg then replace the original image
I guess this only works if you are using the Michael Heilemann theme with the Kubrick header

In reply to: Comment notificationOk, so I found the directions and here they are.
How do execute #2, where is the /wp-content/plugins/ ?
Is this something I have to do with the FTP with my host Go Daddy?1. Download Comments Notifier and unzip it.
2. Upload the comments-notifier/ folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory on your site.
3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
4. The configuration options for Comment Notifier can be found under the “Options” tab of the WordPress Admin. Simply navigate to “Options” and then click on “Comments Notifier” in the sub-navigation.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: How do I add my own image to my blog header? What theme are you using? I am using the WordPress Default 1.6 by Michael Heilemann
I went on Youtube and found a lady using the exact blog theme, as me, giving step by step instructions for adding your own logo. I am really new at this so when I learned that it needed to be done with an FTP method, I was totally lost. My room mate, the computer wiz kid helped.
Anyway We had to use an FTP application. The video on Youtube was very helpful. I remember her mentioning the name of her site as WordPress For Women.

In reply to: Just summary of article on front pageThis code gets placed in the body of your article where ever you want the paragraph to end. It will then give a link that says “read the rest of the story” Just insert the code, word press does the rest.

Here’s my blog so you can see what it looks like. After the first article the next one is where I placed the code.

In reply to: Need help with code-My background color is missingOk, apology for being a bit rude- I have been trying to resolve this issue for a day with little help, actually not one response yesterday, all day to 6 posts.
I am a beginner at this code stuff!
The problem did not occur until I was making an alteration in the header.php so that is where I would think the problem is. I am very hesitant to make a change in a different editor because I was not working in a different editor when this happened. Somewhere in the lower section of the code in the header.php editor I accidently backspaced 2x, beginners mistake to not back up the code before making adjustments, lesson learned.
The theme has been customized in several ways, so re uploading may not be the best option. With my limited computer knowledge to download WordPress then unpack it and try to find the code I would like to compare seems like a three day long process.

In reply to: Need help with code-My background color is missingWas I not clear in my description of what I need? I think I gave the exact location of what I messed up on.
I accidentally backspaced a couple of things in this code area but I am not sure what they were. I posted the code above in the original post.
Can someone please help me out?
I would think if you are using the same blog theme,WordPress Default 1.6 by Michael Heilemann, you could check my code against yours and see what is different. My description is accurate of where the section of code is.
