Hi all,
I’ve been looking into this and I’m afraid it’s quite complicated.
WordPress stores the featured image only by media id (for the current blog), so I can’t link to the “other” blog.
It implement this, the whole featured image functionality must be rewritten.
I will put it on my list, but don’t expect anything soon…
Hi,
The plugin checks for the
upload_files
capability per site.Hi,
I’m afraid I can’t replicate your issue.
With both plugins I have no problems adding pictures from other sites to the “wysiwyg” fields (like the normal blog-text field but also the wysiwyg advanced custom field).
The advanced custom fields plugin changes the media lightbox, so perhaps the ‘clash’ is in there…
Please post your findings after disabling the other plugins.
I’ve only tested DomainMapping with a sub-domain install, not a sub-directory install. Will see if I can mimic your setup & test.
Hi,
The plugin indeed didn’t work when WPMU Domain Mapping was installed.
I already fixed it, but now updated the plugin to 0.9.2 with the changes.
Please try the new version. It should work now.
Hi lexxlevi,
Some questions:
What versions of WordPress and the plugin are you running?
What is your network setup (sub-domains or sub-directories) ?
Are you doing any “domain mapping”, eg. using the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin or something equivalent?
Is the plugin not working in any of your (networked) sites or specifically in one site?
Hi,
Sorry for the delay…
Your summary is correct.
It would be a great help if the option would be available in the user registration form but in a network install, the “new user” form is very short (only a username and an e-mail addres is requested). So in that case the language setting would be very convenient in the “edit user” form (for admins only off course).
Note that an administrator already has access to other users personal settings (except than for the language setting, if you code it that way).
For support issues or when you install the plugin after all users are defined, it would help to have the language setting available for administrators, but off course it’s up to you! Thanks!
Hi all,
I just released version 0.9 of the plugin.
On installations with many sites (or with very long site names), the site-selection is now done with a drop-down list.
Hi,
Ah, missed that dialog. I’ll have to look into it, so it’s on the wish list indeed…
Thanks. Found some more embarrassing typos…
Hi,
Thanks for your reply!
In my setup, I use the WordPress Network feature to create a multilingual site. My goal would be that the admin area is in my native language (nl_NL) regardless of the language of the site (I’m having a difficult time navigating the French admin area ;-). This works fine in the current version of the plugin.
The reason for my feature request is that, as an admin, I would like to setup things right for the other editors, including the default profile language.
