In reply to: [Attachment Taxonomy Support] Filter media by category / tagExactly, without “filter” features Marco has mentioned it is only a beta concept, unfortunately. I am looking forward for new version.
Hello,
finally I used another plugin, the ID was set OK. Sorry, probably some coincidence with other settings, some filter… not sure. With regards Joo.Hello, my WP runs on shared hosting without any difficulties (the only problem is safe_mode set on “true” for some cache plugins). The (sub)folder(s) structure is default.
Frankly, “I am searching for WP search plugin” REALLY capable to find the data strings “hidden” both in shorcodes and ALT/TITLE/CAPTION parameters. Your plugin seems to be an interesting improvement of ugly default WordPress search, but I am not sure if is able to do this “deep search” (in the current version :-))
Thanks for your message, with best regards, Joo
Hello Chris,
I am sorry, but I have postponed that (and nobody has put an answer to the forum, surprisingly…). It is really a matter of clever regular expression, because it is applied on the whole content. With best regards, Joo
Hello trixienolix,
the plugin’s versions you can find under “Other Versions” link
I think the problem is with new jQuery syntax versus WP3.2+, but I am afraid Aesque is short of time for revision of that… Nevertheless, the problem is still present in the combination I mentioned above. Neither FireBug nor IE-development tool return some errors, so for people with limited knowledge of JavaScript (like me ?? it is problem to debug it.
Good luck, Joo

In reply to: [File Gallery] [Plugin: File Gallery] Media Library – "sort by"Hello,
the WP3.2+ has that feature in its core, as Aesqe mentioned above.
As far as the attachments in page/post are concerned the FILE-GALLERY plugin is perfect solution, especially in the latest version(s). Nevertheless, thanks.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [TinyMCE Span] [Plugin: TinyMCE Span] Compatibility issue?Oops, that was my fault, I am sorry.
For all: it works very nice, exactly as described.
I have tested it with many activated plugins at last – no conflicts found.
Thank you for your time.

In reply to: Plugin[Admin Management Xtended] appears not to be active.Hello Alphawolf,
I am very sory, everything works fine. The reason of the reported strange behaviour was a bad setting of file permissions. A week ago, I changed my webhosting provider and the new one has a very peculiar default setting of folders/files uploaded via FTP (very restrictive) – and THAT was the reason. I am not sure which files/folder were crucial for it (changed recursively). Perhaps it will be useful for other people, too.Thank you for your time, it’s very nice plugin, indeed.

In reply to: Plugin[Admin Management Xtended] appears not to be active.Hello,
WP3.2.1, default theme Twenty Eleven 1.2, all other plugins deactivated.
I am sorry, but I must prove it is not working. The result is: no drag/drop, no icons (only text links in new column – no action onclick). Numeric page-order I can see (and change), but there is no possibility to save it. FireFox6+, IE8+ the same results. The javascript is broken: ame_ajax_set_visibility is not defined, etc…. messages.
With best regards, JooHello Ulfben,
I must really apologise – yes, it works perfect! I was confused by the missing description of this feature on the ScreenShot page and I did not install your plugin at first. That was a big mistake.
This is really a BIG improvement for structuring media files much better.Unfortunately, WordPress is very poor in selecting some of these files WHILE EDITING a page (Insert/Upload image icon). There is no sorting of files by Name, Date, ASC, DESC – just searching for some (sub)strings in the file names (and the months). WP3.2.1 has made no progress(!) as regards and there probably is no plugin solving it.
Ulfben, do you think it would be possible to add something like this into your plugin in the future? It would probably be quite sufficient to have a combo-box “select uploads subdirectory for media files search”.
The full implementation of sorting (as mentioned above) would really be an incredible step forward, worth adding to the WP core. I can imagine it would be a lot of work, though.
Nevertheless, thank you very much for this version of the plugin.
With best regards, JooHello Aesqe,
WP3.2.1 + 1.7-RC10: IE8+ – everything is OK.
(Attachments sorting, copy of Custom Fields – it works nice, too).Just marginal notice – “Simple template” has some troubles with IE8+ (you can see it on your site, too:
https://skyphe.org/code/wordpress/file-gallery/file-gallery-examples/#comment-21672)The first click on thumbnail is OK (detail is loaded), but next ones usually end by showing “loading.gif” endlessly… (FF, Chrome, Opera – OK)
With regards, Joo
Aesqe, it is very strange.
The test environment is WP3.0.1, Twenty Ten theme and all the plugins disabled. Probably the old version of WP is the culprit… Yes, the same behaviour both on all pages and posts. It still seems like this line is causing the problem:
return $.access( this, name, value, true, $.attr );About a week I will be offline (vacancies), then I am planning to upgrade WP, anyway and look at it again. If I am the only person with this problem, the cause must be on my side.
Thanks for your time, with regards Joo.

Hello Aesqe,
sorry, but I have a problem with new version (both the 1.6.5.5 and RC5):Message: Object doesn’t support this property or method
Line: 23, Char: 5, Code: 0
(Internet Explorer 8.0)This message is probably the reason why the whole “FG area” looks like an “empty box” instead of standard FG menu, thumbnails container, etc. In the FireFox4.x is everything OK.
With regards, Joo
That’s OK, I really understand it – everybody feels a shortage of time.
What is surprising me, according the recent surveys (2011/04) the IE is used by 24% of people. I cannot imagine myself to use FG with this bug under IE. Looking for a new version!
With regards, Joo
