– Permalinks are set correctly
– i verified that force-download.php copied to the wp-content directory on install of the plugin (didn’t even have to manually move it)
– this is a FRESH install of the plugin
– NO other plugins are active on this site

I think this is likely an issue with WP 3.9.1. I bet the plugin no-workie on 3.9.1.

I’m not certain what your “no it doesn’t” was in response to… but this part “virtually unlimited disk space” is totally accurate (largely because i said “virtually”) ??

Any way to touch the code in W3TC so that instead of COPYING the uploaded files, it basically REPLACES the standard upload process?

I know that’s a long shot question… but it’s exactly what i’m looking for…

At the moment i’m looking into using symbolic links on my server…

Also, my goal here is this:

Host the database and ALL WP files on a VPS that has pretty good processing power & memory so that pages load nice and fast (also because it’s a VPS i get full control)

Host all MEDIA files and attachments (i do a lot of music/video uploads) on a SHARED hosting plan at hostgator.com because it has virtually unlimited disk space ??

That way i don’t have to pay for the VERY expensive disk space on the VPS…

Makes sense?
