In reply to: [Download Attachments] Not working with WP 4.9?I should add that I’ve disabled all plugins except this one, hoping it was a plugin conflict, but with just this plugin enabled, the attachment panel is still a no show. ??
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Download Attachments] Not working with WP 4.9?Same here and I love this plugin. No way to add attachments; screen to do so is simply gone now. But the attachments previously uploaded are still there on the live page; but if you try to edit the page, attachment panel gone.
If I make a donation, will this encourage the developers to update this plugin?

https://underscores.me/And you’ll want to brush up on your CSS to really make the site purr. Anyone who doesn’t believe in the power of pure CSS has not visited https://csszengarden.com.
One HTML template, each made unique through CSS alone. I go there for inspiration.

In reply to: Restricted areaYou’ll want to look at plugins that redirect according to a users specific role, I believe. I Googled and came up with a few.

In reply to: All search engines say my website is a parked domainGoogle and other bots haven’t updated their crawls of the domain apparently which is why you are seeing the parked domain notice. I am no SEO expert by any stretch of the imagination, but if you want good results, think of what kind of site you have…. Who does it cater to? What keywords might someone use if they are looking for a site like yours? And go from there.

In reply to: All search engines say my website is a parked domainThere would be no reason for someone to type a domain/URL into a Google search unless they were attempting to limit the results to that domain. But if you type “Ruth Lindsay” into Google, your actual site is at the bottom of page 1, and other articles about you, and a few obituaries, appear ahead of that. ??

In reply to: ‘Free’ WordPress Themes? Really? You can buy themes from just about anywhere. That doesn’t mean they will be solidly-coded or adhere to web standards. All that is a crap shoot. Stick to reputable sites such as these and you should be okay. There are others, this is not an exclusive list, but it is a start:
https://www.studiopress.com (Genesis framework)
https://themetry.com/themes/
https://www.elegantthemes.com
https://www.templatic.com

In reply to: ‘Free’ WordPress Themes? Really? It is a bit annoying to install a theme to find out it then begins to nag you to purchase the pro version. But one key that might help you avoid these kind of themes is the fact that a large majority of them have the word “Lite” in their name. That should help you avoid some of them. ??

In reply to: No Images Showing upI see all your images on the front page and within each listing. Do you not see them? Try clearing your browser cache, and also you can go to the CMD window (DOS box) in Windows and type this:
ipconfig /flushdns
to clear your ISP’s resolver cache. That generally sets things right again. Are you using a caching plugin?

In reply to: What’s the best plugin to subscription based serviceWhat payment gateway do you want to use? I think what you want can be done with Gravity Forms and their PayPal extension. They also have an Authorize.net extension too, so you should be covered either way. You’ll need to configure the form to use conditional logic so that unless the user provides the required information (his twitter account and email), the form won’t proceed forward. Gravity Forms is not free, but it is a great and well-supported plugin and is very flexible and extensible.
