Thank you for the response! It is correct that the placeholder is working on the divi maps widget. However it is not working on the code widget, which I think looks and works better than the maps-widget. I believe that the placeholder of the maps-widget is covering the code widget as well in the screenshot you sent. I am wondering if there is any way to put a placeholder on the code widget? ??

Thank you for the help! I’ve found the issue. I was using the Divi custom code widget for the map on skolf?reningenv?xa.se. But when I instead tried the Google maps widget that fixed it.

However I do prefer the look and functionality of the map inserted with code. I’m having a lot of trouble trying to implement the same placeholder on the code-variant. I am trying to follow the instructions but get stuck.

You can see both versions of the map on https://xn--skolfreningenvxa-8nb82a.se/test/. Do you know how I could get the placeholder on the one with code?

Thank you for the response, I will check out the debugging guide!

But to make sure we understand each other, I will attach links to two images showing the different websites.

First Beliva: https://ibb.co/GVcS3bF this shows a text telling you to accept marketing cookies.

Then Skolf?reningen V?xa: https://ibb.co/gm6H9rV which shows the google maps immediately, which I would like to avoid.

Beliva is made in Elementor Pro while Skolf?reningen V?xa is made in Divi, could that be related to the problem?

It says in Swedish “Det var ett fel vid f?rs?ket att skicka ditt meddelande. F?rs?k igen senare.” which pretty much means “There was an error when trying to send your message. Try again later.”

I’m using a Gmail and I’ve now found out they have a limit of 25mb. Do I need a new mail somewhere else?

It now appears as if some files work and some don’t when on my Mac. For example, I tried adding 3 JPG files somewhat larger than the 3 earlier HEIC files and that wouldn’t work. Both the JPG and HEIC formats are allowed to be sent on the contact form. And although I believe it wasn’t necessary either way, I tried increasing the allowed file size to 50mb (changed it back to 20 soon after), but I still couldn’t send the 3 JPGs. I am very confused.

I figured it out. It was the Password Protected plugin by Ben Huson that was causing the issue with cashing.

For anyone wondering, I’ve now found the issue. The menu got broken when I was using the Social Icons Widget & Block by WPZOOM plugin.

After troubleshooting methodically I discovered that the Social Icons Widget & Block by WPZOOM was causing the broken menu. I had to use the the plugin since WordPress own Social icons widget wasn’t working very well for me, but I guess I will simply have to find another replacement.

If you don’t mind I have some follow up question to that before I get started. Maybe these are questions with obvious answers but I’m new and want to make sure.

First of all, when turning off the plugins, will I have to add all the features they gave again manually or will they simply reappear when I activate them again?

And when changing themes, will I keep all my pages, texts in those pages, posts etc? Or will that be like starting from the beginning again? I’m considering paying for the premium version of the theme if it proves any better, but I have about 2 weeks until the site goes live so I’m not sure I will if that will take a large portion of time.

I’ve only used WordPress for a couple of weeks and have no coding experience. Do you think someone like that could get related posts posts removed through a child theme or would you advice me against it?

I will write a post suggesting an option to turn it off on the theme forum, however I’m afraid I won’t get an answer anytime soon. About 3 weeks ago I actually asked a question there (which I’m currently getting help with on this forum instead) and still no answer.
