Why is it always the simplest solutions that cause the most frustration?
Grrrrr.
Logging out & back in again fixed it for me two, after several hours of fiddling.
Thanks Jeremy
This probably isn’t the right place for this comment but it was the page I was poking for and it does affect everybody.
The statement says that you must be logged in to comment. OK so far, I’ll just log in then. Oh, no I won’t. There’s no login link on the page. I guess the opinion of iPhone users is probably not worth listening to, so you’ve hidden it from us. Shame on you! We’re an intelligent bunch you know and it only took me a few minutes before I gave up and just searched for the login page.
Well that’s off my chest now it’s over to you, coz I have no idea who to report a MASSIVE issue like this to.without having to go through the whole process of asking Google
The address I’m looking to display has multiple entrances. On this occasion I’d like to use the rear entrance.
Just an idea, as I can think of a number of similar scenarios, (e.g. Different postal & physical address,) where this might be useful.
Thanks
The problem was being caused by the key restriction within the Google API settings.
I had restricted API to use asterisks for wildcards in the address of the site, under HTTP referrers.
Having experimented with various settings, (because Google tells me somebody might steal my quota,) I’ve now set it to allow wild cards only after the .org/ part and it’s now working. As an aside, it would be useful to be able to put in a separate address/postcode for the Google map, to allow us to move the location of the pin, without having to go through the whole process of asking Google to do it.
Thanks
This is obviously a common error. How is it being resolved?
