Okay… I went through the process and thus far everything seems to be setting up and communicating. At this point I think this aspect works. The next thing is just whether or not it actually posts. For that I assume I can open another or look elsewhere.
So when I do this it pops up asking me to submit for review with the typical Facebook permissions dialog. I assume I continue with this?
Done.
Sure.
Update:
I figured out that I wasn’t including the “www” that shows up on my redirect for https. That got rid of that error but now I get:“Invalid Scopes: manage_pages, publish_pages. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions”
Looking into what does that but open to advice.
Interestingly, and I don’t know if this helps (though I suspect this is what the API keys are supposed to bypass) if I go to that URL directly it asks me to log into my wordpress even though I’m already logged in.
Yes it’s in both of those. In fact, because of the way mine is set up it’s actually:
https://enderbowen.com/wordpress/wp-admin/admin.php?page=TweetOldPost
And it doesn’t work. It gives me that error.
Scratch that as well… I still can’t get it to work entirely.
I don’t show that this is secure when I go to the website – it points to https but I don’t get the green “Secure” suggestion.
Also, when I log into the back end wordpress dashboard it’s “Not Secure” and red and the https is crossed out.
And no matter what I do I keep on getting this error when attempting to set up the facebook connection:
URL Blocked: This redirect failed because the redirect URI is not whitelisted in the app’s Client OAuth Settings. Make sure Client and Web OAuth Login are on and add all your app domains as Valid OAuth Redirect URIs.
Well scratch that last thing. Apparently now it wants to play ball.
@uriahs-victor Although this is a good idea, Netfirms (my host) does not allow third party SSL certs, so there would be no way for me to add it to the domain.
@themeisle I checked this out and set it up, however, it didn’t work. Here are the notifications I got when attempting to access my site:
This site can’t provide a secure connection
enderbowen.com uses an unsupported protocol.
ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCHUnsupported protocol
The client and server don’t support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite. So from what it sounds my host doesn’t even allow me to do THIS. Kind of peeved about that.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] Cannot select MarketplaceI’m having the same exact problem and followed what was suggested here. I even created a new access and secret key and that doesn’t seem to have changed anything. The dropdown is blank. I’ve tried saving and reloading and no change.
