Thanks for responding so quickly but it’s a rather disappointing reply. The plug in has been working well for over 2 years and it’ll take me hours to recreate the galleries, as all the photos were linked to snippets of information. Simply deleting the gallery will work for one of the pages but but the other. Frustrating!

aha! Number 1 worked. I hadn’t set a theme/layout, as I assumed that doing nothing accepted the default. Thank you for your help – much appreciated. Now I’ll play with the layout!

Thanks Jeremy. It is a static page but the shortcode isn’t working. It’s at https://www.growchiswick.org, if that helps (the quote that you can see on there is a random one generated by Quote Master, which works well, but I’d prefer a “quote of the day” I’ve tried taking out the shortcode for the random quote but it doesn’t make any difference).

Is the fact that I’m using the Customizr theme relevant at all?

actually, my cheat doesn’t work – the <h2 id=”wildlife”> bits keep getting deleted, not sure why. Guess I’ll have to master javascript or live with imperfection.

Thanks for your quick response Matt. Javascript is a step too far for my skills, so I think I’ll cheat by putting the id tags a couple of lines higher up. A bit messy but should work. Maybe I’ll get my head around javascript another time.
