@jasonbrownlee For me, the update to WordPress 5.5 broke my classic editor, as oppose to the editor’s update to version 1.6 breaking WP 5.5. Essentially, classic editor’s previous and most recent update functioned normally with WP 5.4.2. Consequently, I reverted back to WP 5.4.2 using my hosting service’s backup tool. Hopefully WP developers will come up with a patch soon.
