Gah, one of my pet hates, there are a couple of flags at the top which you assume will change the language, click and….. nothing.

If it doesn’t work, or is in development, don’t put it there. It just irritates people.

It is very difficult to comment on at the moment as there is really not enough there to say anything about.

It’s a nice idea, and the site looks very clean and visually appealing.

I am interested on how you are going to deal with the problem of people using it for spam/advertising purposes instead of a journal though.

If you get too much of that then I think it will put a lot of people off.

I think you can keep do’s and don’ts, but do something to differentiate them – perhaps using two different colours, maybe green for do and red for don’t.

There is definitely a lot to like about your site.

I haven’t dug too far through it, but one early impression is that the slider on the home page is very fast. I think it would be better if there could be a pause of half a second or so when each slide has finished loading. It’s just a little bit hectic as it is.

Generally it looks pretty good, but I find the lack of spacing between words and slightly random capital letters put me off reading too far.

I read the post on the front page and understand that you have disabled most of the buddypress features, but have based the site on buddypress because you might want to use them in the future.

The problem is that you have left two great big elements of buddypress on the page which now make no sense.

• A big part of the right sidebar is taken up by a login form, which automatically makes me think that I can register for something, and I can’t.
• You have retained the buddypress search box in the header, with ‘members’ as the default search instead of content – again this doesn’t seem to make much sense.

Donations or advertising, or charge for access to some kind of premium content/features.

110% agreed. At the moment it is just like a wall of words and I have to scroll down before I get to the first content.

In both Safari and Chrome on Mac, nothing lines up in the English version.
In the French version, the titles and number of themes are in a grid with the icons, but the English version everything is all over the place.

On the Monkey site, only the twitter and vimeo social links are working – the others are just links to #

I agree that it looks a little cluttered, I think a bit of whitespace between the bottom of the slider and the start of the text would probably help a lot – also the first slide (with all the logos) is really busy and could do with some space in it.

Also, what is the big yellow box on the right side of the header – I’m guessing an advertising placeholder, but why show it if there are no ads there?
