In reply to: WordPress werb master tool.I expect they mean Google Webmaster Tools, which is here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools
I have used the Reusable Text Blocks plugin before, it worked well and does exactly what I think you are looking for.
Erik – if you are looking for a paid solution that lets you push both ways, then you could do worse than taking a look at WP Stagecoach.
I’m not affiliated in any way, just think it’s a pretty good solution.
WP Staging is a great plugin, and if Rene manages to implement push to live site then it will become an outstanding one. Great work Rene!

In reply to: [Manual Related Posts] 1.8.3 update stopped showing my related postsTried 1.8.4 on a staging site and it was still producing the same problem, so am sticking with 1.8.1 for the moment.

In reply to: Website ReviewSorry Matthew, you misunderstand what I meant. I didn’t mean to make the image smaller in terms of size, but to reduce the file size.
Currently you are using a png file which could be massively reduced in file size.
I have just opened the image file in an image editor, exported it as a .jpg and then used smush.it (an image compression service) and I have reduced the file size from 4.9MB to 633KB, which is just over 8 times smaller.
You could do the same thing, or if you would like then I can email you the reduced size file if you let me know where to send it.

In reply to: Website ReviewThe very first thing you need to do is to make the filesize of your background image smaller.
It is currently 4.9MB which is massive and makes the whole site very very slow to load.

In reply to: Add WWW to old Links AutomaticallyThe simplest way is to do a 301 redirect using the .htaccess file.
If you search for ‘301 non-www to www’ you will find plenty of snippets that will show you how.

In reply to: Catering Services wp-siteI don’t think there is any reason to use a slider, I think they are very overused.
There is quite an interesting article about it here: https://yoast.com/opinion-on-sliders/

In reply to: Improvement SuggestionsI seem to be typing the same thing in a lot of these replies lately, but…
I open the site, and the first thing at the top of the page is a ‘please subscribe’ banner. This is fine, It’s not obtrusive, it’s not a popup, and I can either ignore it, or just scroll down.
I choose to close it, I scroll down the page to see the hopefully interesting content, and Boom, bottom right corner up pops another big ‘please subscribe’ box.
This is the point at which I close the page, because I (like lots of other people) don’t like being harassed into subscribing to something before I even see what it is I am subscribing to.
