OK… I’m losing faith in Diverse Solutions.
Almost THREE MONTHS from the original post and you still haven’t indicated that your plugin is tested beyond v4.8.6

In reply to: [Popups - WordPress Popup] Missing Social Icon Buttons v1.9.3 and v1.9.3.1Hi Damian,
All the boxes in the Settings Page were un-checked, except for Ajax Mode, which was checked. I think that was the default, right?
I un-checked it at LakePath.com, updated to v1.9.3.1, purged the WebSite & Browser Cache, and the Icons re-appeared. I repeated the process on LeLacAppelle.com and the Icons are working correctly there as well.
Any downside to not using Ajax Mode?
Thanks,
John

In reply to: [Popups - WordPress Popup] Missing Social Icon Buttons v1.9.3 and v1.9.3.1Hi,
Sorry for the confusion.
I have “two” sites… LeLacAppelle.com and LakePath.com
I’m sticking with v1.9.2 on both sites for now.
I tried running v1.9.3 and v1.9.3.1 on LakePath.com…
the Social Icons would not appear…
I rolled it back to v1.9.2, they appeared…
then toggled it again to v1.9.3.1, they disappeared
then finally back to v1.9.2, and they appeared.I did clear both my Website Cache and Browser Cache after each install.
See screenshot of LakePath.com here running v1.9.2.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the reply and the additional info. It’s good to know that others are using the latest plugin with the latest version of WordPress.
However, the larger question is why hasn’t Diverse Solutions updated their “Tested up to: 4.8.6” indicator on the Plugin Homepage?
Either they haven’t tested it before releasing it, or they lack attention to detail, both of which results in a feeling of uncertainty about the plugin ??
Thanks again,
John
Hi,
I see you’ve updated your plugin again (to version 3.0.6) and it continues to indicate that it’s not compatible with the current version of WordPress.
Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.
Is it your expectation that your paid subscribers install this plugin now, knowing that you have not tested it?
Or do you expect us to wait “a few more months” until you’ve actually tested it?
Thanks
Are you going to update this page? Leaves the user feeling rather uncertain about your plugin ??
We’re up to WordPress v4.9.5 as of last night.
Thanks!
Sounds good! It’s helpful to see that tab.
Thanks

In reply to: Plugin Last Updated FieldI’m sorry, perhaps I made a mistake posting to this forum. Is there another forum that welcomes ideas/suggestions?
I simply wanted to suggest that the “Last Updated” field be consistent in both places.
Of course a plugin doesn’t get better on its own.
I used to rush to update software, as soon an update was made, only for it to create other issues. I was trying to making the point that after a plugin is updated, it causes a problem, the author writes a fix, and a new update is published soon thereafter. It’s nice to know how much time has passed since its last update as a gauge of its stability.
Thanks!

In reply to: Plugin Last Updated FieldHi Samuel,
I like to see plugin updates mature or season a bit before updating them. I’ve noticed at times when an update arrives, it is quickly updated/patched to correct a problem. It’s helpful to see that an update has “seasoned” 8 days (without quick/emergency patches), rather than “two weeks” (when it’s really only been 8 days).
I don’t think that level of detail hurts anything, and it would be consistent with other date formats, such as the area I pointed out.
Just a suggestion ??
Thanks,
John

Mine still shows 6.1.1 as of this reply, rather than 6.2.0
