    Just noticed something…

Related Posts appears to be working on some posts, but not on others.

Oddly, Post “A” may show Post “B” as a Related Post, but Post “B” does not show Post “A” as a Related Post (it does not show ANY Related Posts)

    For Example:
Post A: (shows Post B in Related)
    https://lelacappelle.com/take-two-minute-tour/

Post B: (does not show Post A above in Related)
    https://lelacappelle.com/place-near-south-haven-michigan-few-people-know/

I “did” reindex the posts successfully but it did not correct the problem.

    Thoughts/Ideas ?

    Hi AHMeD,

Was that the information you were seeking?

Clicking on “Create New Block” is still taking me to the Page Not Found popup ??

    Thanks,

    John

    Good Morning,

You’re welcome. It’s beyond my scope of understand so your insight is greatly appreciated.

I first logged out of both of my domains/dashboards
    Logged into one
Opened second tab, input the URL you requested
    Received a “0”

Behaved the same on both domains.

Let me know if there is anything else I can provide.

    Thanks!

The webhost disabled the rule, so my IP doesn’t get locked out, but said: “For security reasons we dont publish or share the security rules as it could allow hackers to figure out workarounds.”

That being said, now when I click on Create New Block OR General Settings, it results in a Page Not Found Error Pop-up Window. I’m unable to change any settings. This behaves the same in both LakePath.com and LeLacAppelle.com

I noticed in my WordPress Dashboard, I have the CSS Widget enabled, and it sometimes results in the Fatal Error below.
NOTE: this Friday 8/29/14 morning, the Widget Renders Correctly in the LakePath.com Dashboard, but NOT the LeLacAppelle.com Dashboard (no matter how many times I refresh it ??

It is behaving the same in both Chrome and IE.

    Hi Damian,

Thanks for the response & background information.

I submitted a support ticket to our webhost, copied/pasted your comments, and they responded back with the following:
“We searched the logs and found mod_security rule was tripped causing the IP to be blocked. We disabled it temporarily till your done. Please let us know and we can turn it back on after your done.”

Does this answer your question with enough specificity ? Let me know if there is something more I should ask them.

    Thanks again,
    John

Thank you very much for an informative summary. I appreciate your work!

    Sometimes it’s so simple ??

Needed to add to beginning gallery code:
    <div class=”entry-content”>

and to the end of the gallery code:
    </div><!– .entry-content –>

Also added a text line & hyperlink… So complete looks like this:

    <div class=”entry-content”>
<p style=”text-align: center;”>Click Here To See Our Featured Properties </p>

    <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[gallery link="none" columns="6" size="thumbnail" ids="87,86,84,85,82,83"]‘); ?>
    </div><!– .entry-content –>

Hi Brandon, thanks for the idea. I reindexed Tuesday May 27th 9:00am EST. Looks like we’re getting the same result.

Thinking out loud here: those “dynamic” pages don’t really exist on our site (ex: each time a user clicks a listing, the page gets generated). So, WordPress.com Stats don’t really have a page to refer to (in turn JetPack Stats have nothing to refer to) ?

It may be worth noting that StatCounter “does” track the dynamic pages and I’m able to see the full URL.

Update: I think I know what’s going on but wanted to post it here for others. We have Real Estate Listing “IDX” Plugin that inserts active listings directly into our page. 99% sure that those “loading title” messages are when the user clicks on a listing!

    Thanks Richard.

It certainly is a good overview and I now know that the chart is a “Sparkline”. But I didn’t find any reference to the number that displays when you hover your mouse over the chart.

This post by “macmanx” states: “Each vertical line is an hour, showing you views per hour essentially. The number when you hover is the highest amount of views per hour.” https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/plus-number-above-sparkline?replies=4

If that is correct, is there any way to add that an explanation to the the link you provided?

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Missing XML tag

Forgive the lengthy post. It is fixed for me now and I’m no longer getting the Missing XML Tag on Google Webmaster Tools (GWT). I’m not exactly sure “what” fixed it, but here are some steps I took… maybe someone else can glean something from it ??

In my case, on GWT, the error was referring to the “Category” and “Post_Tag” xml’s. Also, it indicated on both that there was an error on LINE #3 of the xml’s.

I didn’t have any Categories or Posts (all my pages are static) so I added one of each. In SEO/SiteMaps, I clicked the XML Sitemap button and could view my Sitemap, including sub-maps for the Category and Post_Tag and could open & view each of them independently in the browser.

Back to GWT, tried resubmitting the sitemap but it resulted in the same error.

I then went into SEO/ExcludeTaxonomies and placed checkmarks next to Categories & Tags. Save Changes. Clicked XML Sitemap and this time it did not generate the Category and Post_Tag sub-maps.

Back to GWT, resubmitted, but STILL had the same problem. I don’t know “what” GWT was seeing. Were there leftover xml’s for those two sub-maps? (note: I’m not using a wordpress cache plugin)

I installed the Plugin “Google XML Sitemaps”, generated its Sitemap, and was able to submit it successfully at GWT. Tried YoastSEO’s Sitemap again and still no joy.

Back to SEO/ExcludeTaxonomies, removed checkmarks, saved, resubmitted, same problem at GWT.

Finally, back to SEO/ExcludeTaxonomies, placed checkmarks back on Categories and Post_Tag, saved, resubmitted to GWT and all was well this time.

So, again, I’m really not sure “what” fixed it. I wonder if it was toggling the ExcludeTaxonomies check boxes (saving in between) that did it.

GWT definitely did not like line #3 in both the Categories.xml and Post_Tag.xml

I’m having the same problem with Google Webmaster Tools. Any ideas how to resolve this?
