So, I take it all the work done done on the theme (Infinity-Remix) remains and what’s being replaced in the WordPress Classic & Default files— is that correct?

AND, what can you/me do about altering a “submit” button to read “send” or putting another line of copy on that (for example) password protected page that really needed for the user? Seems crazy to me that that cannot be done, much less done with ease.

Try remaning .htaccess. I take it you mean reNaming— yes? And “where” is that to be done (maybe how to…)
