In reply to: [Pricing Table Plugin] Button Link field issueThanks @reputeinfosystems. I bought the premium version in order to get faster support.
For those who want to know what the issue turned out to be, here is a summary.
-
Further testing showed that the ARPrice Lite pricing table did not work in FireFox but did work fine in Chrome
@reputeinfosystems support found a JavaScript error which they thought was due to my caching utility
They suggested disabling the cache
Swift Performance Pro allows users to turn off the cache on a page
I turned off the cache on the page with the ARPrice Lite pricing table
The pricing table now worked perfectly fine in both FireFox and Chrome!Excellent support, thanks @reputeinfosystems!

In reply to: [Ultimate FAQ Accordion Plugin] Thousands of PHP executions: GET /ufaq-tag/@jaysupport, I don’t like it when the wizards say “In that case, it’s even more strange.” – being the first to have an issue isn’t good! ??
Message sent on the support page!
Thanks very much,
John

In reply to: [Ultimate FAQ Accordion Plugin] Thousands of PHP executions: GET /ufaq-tag/Thanks @jaysupport. There is a link from the primary menus to the FAQ page. There is also a link to the FAQs at the bottom of every article.
There are no links to FAQ tags. In fact, they are hidden on the individual FAQ items, I only show Categories.

OK, I figured this one out! I use Evernote for all my notes. When checking this out again, I noticed something that was a bit strange in how the browser was presenting info. So I went directly to the forms instead of clicking on the page link in Evernote.
Boom! All 5 of the forms worked properly!

When I looked at the test emails I received as well as those in Flamingo and in my SMTP email plugin logs, it appears as if messages sent through my tablet and cell phone forms are not being sent!
More testing required in order to verify!

In reply to: [Simple Newsletter Plugin - Noptin] Post Updates and DigestsThanks for the quick reply @picocodes, glad to see that you think post digests will be a useful addition!
Best,
John
Thanks for the quick reply @collizo4sky!
I saw that when reviewing the documentation. That means I cannot categorize posts using the usual post categories, but will need to use category names like “Daily”, “Weekly”, “As Posted” and “No Notification”.
That doesn’t make any sense to me … or did I misunderstand something?
Thanks again,
John

In reply to: [Newsletter - Send awesome emails from WordPress] Post Digestshttps://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/forums/forum/newsletter-plugin
Interesting, I posted it twice, once on May 8 and the 2nd time on May 12. I never received a notification about the May 8 post so that is why I posted it again. I never received a notification about the May 12 post so posted here.
I just looked and you actually responded to the 2nd post. But, because I never received a notification that the post was actually posted, I didn’t look there.
When someone posts on the forum, is an email supposed to be sent out with a link to the post like www.remarpro.com does when someone posts?
Thanks,
John

In reply to: [Newsletter - Send awesome emails from WordPress] Post DigestsThanks @satollo, that’s what it looked like in the documentation for Automated referenced in my initial post. I will look and see if I can find a plugin that handles all that I need.
A suggestion: you need a way for people to ask non-technical questions like this. I tried to post this twice in the Forum and the moderator never actually posted it. That’s why I asked here…
Thanks again,
John

Thanks @sharmadpk03, I was hoping to avoid MailChimp etc. If I’m going to use MailChimp, I can just use their form builder.
I see that Gravity Forms has a couple of options for Double Opt-In:
OTP for Gravity Forms – The new Double Opt In

Thanks again,

In reply to: [Hestia] Change from uppercase text in Header and Footer menus?@silviu0themeisle, I requested an answer to this question 3 weeks ago:
—–
Hi there @silviu0themeisle. I found another place where the text is transformed into uppercase: the categories on the blog page!
Is there CSS code I can place in Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS to counteract the effects of
text-transform: uppercase;
everywhere in Hestia?
If not, I’m going to need the CSS code to text-transform the categories on the blog page as well as the previously requested CSS to use text-transform in the menus in the Footer One, Footer Two, and Footer Three widgets.
Thanks again,
John

My website is nearly ready and I do want to use Hestia … but, as mentioned before, I detest ALL CAPS!
Thanks very much,
John
