The instructions about deleting user-code were only for the error message that mcphotography reported. If you’re getting a “memory size exhausted” error, you need to look into raising the memory limits.princejindal8,
This is the forum for the SEO Ultimate plugin, not the WordPress SEO plugin. However, my original reply about raising memory limits should resolve the problem in either plugin. In the latest version 7.5.7, I decided to remove the WordPress.com mShots integration due to the problems it was causing. Now Open Graph Integator won’t use a default image unless you specify one. Thanks everyone for reporting the problem. If you’ve upgraded to 7.5.7 and still see the “Generating Image” placeholders on Facebook, you’ll have to wait for Facebook to update their cache. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Hi outlierdesign,
I’m not sure what could be causing this, but if you’re up for some experimenting, we should be able to get to the bottom of it. What happens if you upgrade to the latest version again, and then disable all the modules? Does the white screen of death still occur? If so, then it would seem to be a problem with the plugin core. If not, then it would be a problem with a particular module. If it’s the latter, try reactivating each module to identify which one is causing the problem.
Thanks.
Hi Tharindu,
Could you please clarify for me? Do you mean that there’s no “Reviews” tab on the Title Tag Rewriter page? Or do you mean that there’s no “SEO Settings” box below the content editor when you edit a Reviews post …?If your homepage shows your latest blog posts, then the og:type is set to “blog” and cannot be changed. (I personally can’t think of any reason why the og:type of the blog homepage would be set to something other than “blog”, but if you have a case in which changing it would be useful, I’d like to hear about it.)
If your homepage is a static frontpage, you can change the og:type by editing the page and then going to the “SEO Settings” box > “Social Network Listing” tab > “Open Graph Type” dropdown.

In reply to: [SEO Ultimate] [Plugin: SEO Ultimate] Latest UpdateThanks for sending me the screenshot, Roger. What happens if you temporarily switch to the default Twenty Eleven theme? (If the problem does go away when you switch to Twenty Eleven, then it’s likely the Suffusion theme that’s causing the problem.)

In reply to: Generating Preview Black imageAs Nick2102 indicated, if you don’t specify a default image under SEO > Open Graph > Default Values > Default Image, then SEO Ultimate will use the WordPress.com mShots service to generate a screenshot of your site. However, if this is the first time that WordPress.com mShots has had to generate a preview of a given webpage on your site, then it will show the “Generating Preview” image. Unfortunately this is what Facebook picks up in those cases. I’ll look into a solution, but for now, the workaround would be to specify an image under the Default Image box.
@peetra: Upgrade to the latest version of SEO Ultimate to remove the Meta Keywords error.

I don’t think it’s an issue with the plugin. I think some other plugin or theme is outputting code that is messing with the SEO Settings box. Does the issue still happen when you disable all other plugins and switch to the default Twenty Eleven theme?

In reply to: [SEO Ultimate] [Plugin: SEO Ultimate] Meta description errorThe actual page that users visit
The errors should be removed in 7.5.6. The errors only appeared on sites that had the WP_DEBUG setting enabled in the wp-config.php file (WP_DEBUG is not supposed to be enabled on live sites).
You’re right, the meta tag should be used in cases when the property is hidden. This is changed in 7.5.6.
As of SEO Ultimate 7.5, Rich Snippet Creator only supports outputting HTML5 rich snippet code. This is because Yahoo and Bing only support Schema.org’s HTML5 rich snippet protocol. So instead of supporting older, non-HTML5 protocols that only Google could understand, Rich Snippet Creator now uses a newer HTML5 protocol that all three search engines can parse. If you want to use rich snippets on your site, I’d suggest changing your site to the HTML5 doctype. You can look up how to do this on Google — it should only involve changing one line of code on your site, and older browsers will still be able to understand your site’s code.
Version 7.5.6 also adds a field for review images.
Does it still happen when you disable all other plugins and switch to the default Twenty Eleven theme?

In reply to: [SEO Ultimate] [Plugin: SEO Ultimate] what is this error?@Azerty2012: It sounds like your error is caused by WordPress not upgrading the plugin correctly. Try using FTP to delete the author-links.php file, and then go to Settings > SEO Ultimate > Reinstall to reinstall the plugin.

In reply to: [SEO Ultimate] [Plugin: SEO Ultimate] what is this error?Hi everyone,
Thanks for reporting the error. Don’t worry, the error shouldn’t cause any problems with your site; all it’ll do is show up on your post editor screen. Upgrading to version 7.5.5 will remove it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
