For anyone else having this issue & tried everything else, I found the very simple fix! After many hours of frustration I noticed that in admin user profile page I had accidently ticked ” Disable the visual editor when writing” by accident. Duh! Hope this helps.

Thanks donmik, that worked perfect! ?? I just had to remove a small bit of code to make it work:

$new_avatar = $upload_dir[‘baseurl‘] . $new_avatar;

If I left in ‘baseurl’ it was doubling up the url link to image.

Also just one problem now, the thumbnail of my avatar in the sidebar login widget is just showing a random member avatar not my own one? On the profile page it is correct though.

Great plugin but im having the same issue! I updated the code above but now all old avatars are missing. If there any way to use old avatar directory for old avatars & your new directory above for all new avatars as members upload them? I have 700 members so cant ask them all to update avatars.

any help much appreciated

Hi Pryce, thanks I tried that but then no image appears! I need it to show if I upload an image and nothing to show if I dont. Im using this tag <img src=”{18.image}” />

So if I dont upload an image it turns to <img src > and I get a missing image! Poor coding. Especially since I had to pay for this add on.

Hey there, nope didnt go ahead! I quote for the job but i think their budget wasn’t realistic. I think those plugins would do it though.
