Thanks for the reply. I had thought of the “nuclear option” but it’s quite a drastic step. The main question though is, will the action scheduler work well in a fresh installation? Won’t the backup carry over all the pending actions? I’m dreading setting up WooCommerce from the beginning plus all the pages and posts etc.

There’s no other way to fix this thing? Do we even know what caused it?

Thanks for getting back to me. I think we have strayed off topic with this thread. My main point is the Action Scheduler not working and having hundreds of actions as pending. Emails are not being sent to customers and scheduled back-ups are not being performed.

In answer to your point, what you suggest is a way to resolve the warning from the wp-crontrol plugin. I only installed this plugin on your suggestion to help diagnose the Action Scheduler problem. In any case, I did as you instruct and I looked for the highlighted events in your screenshot. I searched for them in WooCommerce → Status → Scheduled Actions but nothing came up. These are core WordPress actions and have nothing to do with WooCommerce (like wp_version_check and wp_update_plugins).

In fact, the first one in the screenshot (wp_privacy_delete_old_export_files) is being created hourly by WP and there are 380 pages of these events (15,374 items!), none appear in WooCommerce → Status → Scheduled Actions. See here: https://snipboard.io/erlgh7.jpg

Thanks for the reply, and I understand about the temporary access.

Regarding the wp-crontrol plugin, I don’t see how the problem can be related to it since I only installed it on your prompt yesterday. In any case I deactivated it, deleted it and reinstalled with the same results. The issue with the Action Scheduler has been going on for months, and you can see all the fatal errors and pending actions from what I forwarded. I’ve been checking the site and a lot of things do not work, WooCommerse customer emails, scheduled backups, etc.

Any ideas? The Woo Database is still “updating” for days now.

By the way, I forgot mention that I contacted my hosting provider and asked for them to check on their side. Some support threads had recommended that.

I did as advised without success. Since I made no progress in fixing the problem, I ended up starting from scratch with a clean migration and the problem did not reappear.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I do not have access to WooCommerce at all. I mean, the /wp-admin area works only when WooCommerce is de-activated. I have to rename its folder via FTP in order to de-activate it. So, I cannot “verify base database tables”, nor post a System Status.

I read in another thread is Support about deactivating all plugins, and installing the action-scheduler plugin and I tried it. The same result, as soon as I activate it everything crashes.

I also tried emptying the relevant DB tables and making sure their structure is intact. No results either. It seems like the activation of WooCommerce is causing this (if I may say so). WC being present but not active causes no problems.

Hope the above makes sense. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the reply. I disabled Jetpack as advised (was going to do it anyway). But before checking any images, the site crashes with the note: Web Server: Too many connections!
It reverts to the /wp-admin/install.php and I have to reset the server.

It’s quite embarrassing, but you were right. The e-shop was not part of the multisite, hence all the confusion. I managed to do it with your advice above.

One little problem is some broken images, appearing with i0.wp.com before their URL. I read somewhere what the solution is but I can’t find it any longer. Any thoughts?
Jetpack is installed, I think it has something to do with it?
