In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Datepicker missing themeI suppose it is also possible we were looking at 2 different pages. Which page did you see the issue on? I saw it working correctly on “/post-a-job/” page with the Scheduled Date field.
Was it a different page that you saw the wrong script version being loaded on?

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Datepicker missing themeHi there,
Thanks for this report.
I tried to reproduce it, but on my WP 6.5.2 site it is loading version 1.13.2 of the
smoothness
css.It is interesting that you are seeing the
$wp_scripts
variable being empty though. Can you let me know what theme and potentially other plugins are installed so we can debug this?
Alternatively, have you tried changing themes or disabling other plugins to see if something else is conflicting with it?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Job Manager] WP JM slider featured jobsHi there,
We have a directory of 3rd party add-ons for WP Job Manager https://wpjobmanager.com/product-category/3rd-party/
I’m not familiar with all of the features of each one, but you could look through them to see if one offers what you are looking for.

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] swith off listing of the category-list – is this doableHi there
btw – see the page https://www.jobstarter24.de/
which is in truely beta-beta mode.
well if you have any idea what i can do actually – i would be more than glad..
While its difficult to know exactly what is causing it, it seems like the following stylesheet is not being loaded on your site
wp-content/plugins/wp-job-manager/assets/dist/css/frontend.css
, which is where the styling for those fields comes from. You can try disabling other plugins or trying a default theme to see which of those may be causing it, or look into any site caching you may have enabled. Also, you should check to make sure you are using the latest version of WP Job Manager.

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] swith off listing of the category-list – is this doableHi there,
There isn’t a setting to hide the categories, however if you don’t want people to search or create jobs by category you could just eliminate the categories completely in the Job Manager -> Types menu.
Alternatively, you could try some custom css to hide the section that is displaying them https://wpjobmanager.com/document/advanced-usage/adding-custom-css-for-wp-job-manager/
One other thing I noticed from your screenshot though is it seems a style isn’t loading correctly, because it should look something more like this, which is a little less intrusive than the bullet points you are seeing. If you could check to see why some styles aren’t loading it might be worth keeping the categories visible.

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Visual changes to job listings & application pagesHi there, thanks for reaching out!
is it possible for me to make the background of the listings white and have the roll-over be grey so they show better over the hero image on the webpage?
While there isn’t a specific option in the WP Job Manager settings to pick colours, it should be possible by adding custom css to this page. This document describes adding custom css https://wpjobmanager.com/document/advanced-usage/adding-custom-css-for-wp-job-manager/
Once the user clicks on a job that they want to apply for – https://jbb-llc.com/job/jb-builders-llc-boise-id-22-test-role/ – is it possible to customize this page?
This page doesn’t offer the same Page customization options as the other pages, but one thing you could do is some css customization if you were just interested in cosmetic changes to the page
Can I get rid of this page entirely and have just an “apply now” button on the listings page? If not, is there a way to make this page make more sense? Like getting rid of the tags and categories an posting stuff and just having an Apply Now button up top?
There isn’t a way to disable this page, but as mentioned above, custom CSS could be used to hide certain fields that you don’t want displayed.
However, if these changes are important to you, you could make a feature request in our GitHub repository https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/issues
It seems like an extra page that just isn’t needed?
One benefit to this page is that it is a direct shareable link that people could use to send the job listing to their friends/contacts, and it provides a page that can appear in search engines.

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Additional shortcode optionsHi there,
There aren’t any settings to hide fields in WP Job Manager, however the ability is available in custom code. If you are familiar with WordPress development, there are filters that can be used to modify the returned data.
Alternatively, there is a 3rd party add-on that handles field visibility in our marketplace https://wpjobmanager.com/add-ons/job-visibility/ however we do not directly support this addon, so you would need to work with the plugin developer for any support or questions on if it directly solves your problem.

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Moving Applications to a new siteHi there,
Instructions on activating a plugin with a license key can be found here https://wpjobmanager.com/document/getting-started/activating-add-license-keys/
You just need to have the original email with the license key that you received at the time you subscribed. If you don’t have the original email with the license key, there is a link at the top of that help page for retrieving the license key as well.

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Shortcode : Detail page of my jobHi there,
It sounds like you are trying to build a custom job submission form. We do have an advanced developer tutorial on how to customize the submit job form here https://wpjobmanager.com/document/developer-reference/code-snippets/editing-job-submission-fields/ but it does not cover how to do this with different page builders.
To directly answer your question though, there are not any individual shortcodes for specific parts of the submission form, just one for the entire form itself
[submit_job_form]
. Our shortcode reference is here https://wpjobmanager.com/document/advanced-usage/shortcode-reference/ if you want to see what else is available.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Job Manager] jobs not loadingHi there
Glad to hear the loading issue has been resolved!
When you open my website, the home page opens to the job listing area (the middle of my home screen) instead of opening at the top of the page.
Can you provide any insight as to how to fix this?
This behaviour isn’t a feature of WP Job Manager, but it does seem like a deliberate scroll as it moves the page perfectly to the “Recent Jobs” heading.
I noticed that it seems like you are using Jobify or a series of other plugins. This may be a feature that they’ve included and you may be able to reach out to them for help with this.

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] wp-job-manager: the width appears tooo small – way to smallHi there,
Thanks for reaching out with these questions:
whhy is this content – (i.e. the content of the wp-job-manager-plugin) soooo small – i would love to know.
The jobs listing width is controlled by the maximum content width of the selected theme. As you may have noticed with the additional text that you typed below the shortcode, that content too is displayed in a very small column.
Outside of the maximum content width, the listing width may also be influenced by the actual content of the listings. Longer titles may attempt to increase the size of the table. But it will still be bound by the maximum content width set in the theme.
how to change this – how to customize this – how to get a better and a more appropriate look and feel – and site bahaviour
In order to change the column width to match your preferences you have a few options, however they are not WPJM settings they are standard WordPress customizations:
- Edit the existing page template to change the default content width. This can be done in the Site Editor.
- Choose a different theme that better matches your preferred sizing

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Scheduled Jobs Won′t PublishHi there, thanks for reaching out.
When you schedule the post, do they never appear or does it take a couple of page refreshes for the job posting to appear?
Here is a help document with some things to try. It describes an issue for jobs not expiring, but the same system is responsible for publishing scheduled jobs as well https://wpjobmanager.com/document/troubleshooting/jobs-not-expiring/

In reply to: [Regenerate Thumbnails] Regenerating thumbnails does not update postUnfortunately I don’t have any quick fixes for this situation. My only recommendation is to ensure the “Delete thumbnail files for old unregistered sizes…” checkbox is unchecked when regenerating until that functionality has returned to the plugin. It shouldn’t be on by default, but its worth keeping an eye on.
