Not sure if you fixed this, and might be an obvious question, but have you tried logging out of WordPress. I’ve just been scratching my head trying to figure out why our new SSL was working perfectly in FF and IE and not Chrome (my browser of choice).

It was on a form page (using Quforms actually) and I couldn’t figure out a fix. But logging out, everything is fine. It looks like it was something to do with the admin bar and the search functionality within that, rather than anything to do with the actual form itself.

Ok, so I’ve just changed the settings from “past events” to “all events” and for some reason this has worked, even though the more recent events are still from 1970 onwards… strange…

I can use this as a workaround in this scenario, as I don’t have a need to filter any future events out, but it might be worth you having a look into it.

Hi Nicola – thanks for getting back to me. The site has quite a few plugins so I’m assuming its some sort of conflict. That being said, I’ve since increased the PHP memory limit through the server (to an abnormally high number of 256MB) and things are moving along a lot better… so it may be that. Out of interest I also switched from fastCGI to running PHP as an Apache mod and this significantly improved loading speeds, but I was getting an outwardly facing error from another plugin (ninja forms) so I had to switch back.

We’re soon moving from a VPS that we’re maintaining ourselves to WordPress specific hosting from a WordPress expert, so I’m also pinning some hopes on server configurations helping out (and if not, the expertise of our new hosts to pinpoint exactly what is happening)

I can’t unfortunately give out the address or credentials or anything, given the nature of the site.

Just to say, fantastic support from a great plugin author – updated the plugin and sent it to me to test, and its now working perfectly. Thanks jonradio for the great plugin!

Ok just to confirm – the plugin isn’t causing the redirect, this was happening anyway because of how we’re setup, but for some reason, the plugin seems to be blocking the CSS either way. Deactivating the plugin everything is fine, but activating and I get the standard boring white/grey wordpress login.

Ah, well that sounds like the issue then. I am hesitant to say the least to upgrade to php 5.4 – the VPS host’s twelve separate WordPress sites, all with different themes and plugins. I’m concerned that if I update to 5.4 there may be implications to the other sites. Is there any sort of pre-upgrade validation service that I can use to check the sites? Our hosts have said the upgrade is irreversible and therefore if something does go haywire I have no safety net!

Hi again! So the hosts have got back to me and advised an upgrade to php 5.4 should fix the problem? My only concern is whether this will have adverse affect on anything else related to wordpress or other plugins. The sites we run are all wordpress based. Any ideas?

The hosts of the VPS have installed ImageMagik but its not made a difference. I’d be interested to hear what’s happening here, as it does seem to affect all sites on the server.

Sorry to keep bumping my own thread, but thought it might be useful to know that the plugin isn’t working on any of the sites on my VPS server now, even though it had definitely been working on a couple of them in the past. Are there any server specific issues that could result in the above debug?
