Client site spata.co.uk has plugin PDF-Embedder and they reported it was hanging on page …

… (also on their other site bishta.co.uk) – it just shows a ‘Loading’ message.

So I cloned the site into Staging and surprisingly the page loaded and showed the PDF document…

… so I can’t find out if there is a plugin conflict as it’s working OK in Staging.

I thought maybe as a quick solution I’d simply clone from Staging back to Live BUT I did the clone and I get the same issue.

It’s a live site so I can’t start deactivating plugins live there.

One piece of information that may help is the fact that their license expired earlier in the week and they renewed it.

I know that plugin conflicts can happen and, in Staging, to deactivate them in turn until the faulty one works but in this case, in Staging, it already works.

I’ve looked at the site error logs and used the FF console and debugger but I can’t see any errors being flagged.

Hi Ramona, Using the Configure button, it shows all menu items and all 3 levels of the menu from Root downwards, just like in your example image.

i.e. it looks like the full menu as it should appear in the sidebar but isn’t.

GOOD NEWS: I then enabled’Display number of subitems’ and the missing sub items appeared.

The Menu Slice values are both 0.

I’ve cleared my browser cache but the 2nd level doesn’t show that there is a 3rd.

I don’t know how to clear server cache.

Sorry, I don’t understand what you mean by everything after ‘Type: WordPress > configure …’

Thanks for your reply Ramona, Sorry I may have temporarily set the Slice levels to something other than 0 to test their impact. I’ve set t hem to zero again.

I’ve left a horizontal menu on the top line and if you hover over Services, Commercial EPCs you’ll see the 3rd level fly-out. This level isn’t visible or reachable with the Accordion menu.

I’ve disabled WordFence, set the permissions to all \store-locator folders & files to 755 and I still get a blank screen and spinning waiting icon.

Chrome errors are now:

The site (un-hacked version) is back up. The page appears but the map is blank as before but searching doesn’t cause the spinning timer as it did before.

Thanks for such a rapid response.

I just worked it out and it was my mistake (see above) – more images in one gallery than fit on a page so I had to reimport the Metadata on the second page worth of images and it all worked.

Interestingly I did deactivate, delete and reinstall the plug in a couple of times and each time ended up with a blank panel of code even though it was there on the website. So I copied the code from there and applied your fix.

I wonder why the plug-in authors are not releasing an update based on your fix?

Sorry, Ignore me – user error.

I hadn’t realised I have so many images in one Gallery that I had to forward to the second page and Imported the Metadata for them too. Everything worked perfectly after that. I now have 2 galleries behaving as they used to.
