Never saw that before but any hosting that does that needs to go out of business NOW.

Jan Dembowski, if the hosting account is free then that could happen and I have personal experience. When I started with the websites I tried a free hosting, even if they were free their service was good but when my traffic increased they started to suspend my account for 24 hours period and during the suspension time my site redirected to some unknown websites.

saintehlers, what are you using? a paid hosting or free hosting. If it’s a paid hosting then try to download the previously backed up database alone and restore it. If it doesn’t works, ask them to fix it as it may be a hosting related issue.

first reason may be you are over using the hosting resources and your site got suspended. In that time some hosting companies redirect your site to some spam sites like that. upgrading your plan is the best option.

Ok try this. try to access the config file with your hosting control panel and check whether the data base path is correct. If it’s then check the password, the hosting account and the database passwords should be same otherwise you will get this error. If all this are ok then try to contact your hosting support.
