Of course – I JUST figured it out. For anyone else who may run into this.

I needed to change the FRONT PAGE DISPLAYS to No Pages or Posts.

Informative video but I can’t seem to change out the stock slider, on the front page. I created a Static front page but can’t see when I attach my newly created slider. I made a HOME page which shows up and when a attach my slider to that page, the slider doesn’t show up.

I copied and pasted the syntax and this is what I got:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” sign1′ order by id desc limit 10′ at line 1

Note sure what I’m doing wrong.

Sorry again – I figured out the input issues. But, still struggling with having the name, title and organization adding at the bottom of the signed petition.

I appreciate your input. Code is a mystery to me. I’m getting better at it but it’s a challenge.

I’ll read through the thread again. Having different plugins working in conjunction with each other is a bit of mystery as well.

Yesterday I tried changing the parameters in your plugin to:

Name*
Title*
Position*

That seemed to have failed.

From what I’m gathering is that I need to set up a table for the new input fields?

Thanks for getting back to me.

Essentially my client wants the petition form and when they submit the form their name, title and organization is immediately listed underneath. The client wants people to see who signed the petition, for it to be public. Hope that makes more sense.

Example

John Doe, Owner, ACME CO
Paul Smith, President, XYZ Company

Gents,

This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for: a way to display the name of the signer, under the petition.

Since I’m a designer and not a developer, is there an easy way to describe what I need to do, to gain this functionality?

That didn’t work either. Now it’s all blank. Afraid I’m going to have to start from fresh. I did download the xml file but not sure if that will return all my text and pictures. What a bummer.

Thanks for the suggestion but it didn’t work. The ONLY theme it seems to like is Mystique and the admin page is blank no matter which theme.

I’ve now tried looking for extra spaces after ?> and that didn’t help either. Again, it seems to have something to do with the Mystique theme but I can’t seem to change the theme manually back to the default or a known WP 3.0 theme. Someone out there has to know how to fix it.

How do you change back to default theme using FTP (i.e. dreamweaver)? I’ve renamed my plugins folder to take out of play but I’m still getting a blank screen on the admin page. Thx
