I remember seeing a lot of posts in Stack Overflow which said that the $ syntax has to be replaced with JQUERY in WordPress. Forogt where I saw this at, but know that it had fixed some issues with custom “box” installs ( colorbox, lightbox, slimbox etc. )

Sometimes you have to go to the permalinks options page and press ok and then WordPress will start using it. If not, then the above advice is key.

That happened to me once when I added a plugin.

oooh. Did you save wp-admin and includes exaclty as they were, or did you just upload the installation copy?

This could be a htacess issue. You should check for it. And then come back to the forums with what you have.
