In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Force https://www SitemapHi Sybre,
Thank you for the very helpful explanation. I do indeed see the content viewing the Page Source.
I assume not, but does The SEO Framework create the non SSL sitemap links. I’m wondering how they got on Bing & Google in the first place as I don’t remember adding them manually.
Could I simply delete all the non SSL sitemaps from Google and Bing without issue.
Figured it out.

Then Edit the Album/Custom URL

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Robots Meta SettingsVery helpful, thank you very much.
I love the plugin. A nice article about TSF was written by my web host back in 2022 found here

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Robots Meta SettingsI set up a staging site so I could install TSF and simply put the settings back to the default settings on my production site.
Both sites using TSF v5.0.2
The Robots Meta Settings/Indexing are different on my production site and staging site. There are more option boxes on my production site. Screenshot below.

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Robots Meta SettingsThank you for the reply. You are correct in that I’m not sure what exactly would be best.
I did change a few of the settings in Robots Meta Settings/Indexing.
In Description Meta Settings I unchecked Automatically generate descriptions. I only have 32 page and I wanted to use the content from my previous SEO plugin.
- To get the settings back to default, if I Reset Settings, will I loose the descriptions I manually input into the page Meta Description field.
- 2) By manually inputing my descriptions into my pages Meta Descriptions, do I lose the benefits as described on the Explaining the description generator page.
Thank you so much, the update indeed corrected the issue of serving the images from my galleries!!
Am I correct in saying it appears from the image-sitemap that my image URLs, in the image-sitemap, are coming from the server and not the EWWW Image Optimization plugin CDN.
Edit:
Actually it looks like images are being served from both my web host servers and The EWWW CDN. Does it need to be that way or could the images in the sitemap be limited to either my server or the CDN.
Hope that makes sense. I’m just asking the question, I don’t really know.
I contacted BoldGrid support about the issue and found out a few things. First I’ll end the topic because I found out from BoldGrid support the Gallery plugin will no longer be supported. So at this point, there is no need to pursue adding the images from the gallery pages to the sitemap as I will most likely be looking for a new gallery plugin.
BoldGrid support did tell me however, what they suspect the issue is. Below is from BoldGrid:
As a preface, the BoldGrid Gallery Plugin is no longer being updated or supported by our development team. Initially I suspected that this may be related, an issue with the plugin that was not adding the images to the sitemap, but I actually set up a BoldGrid gallery test with the same Dynamic XML Sitemaps Generator for Google plugin and all of the images I used were successfully showing up in the image sitemap. It doesn’t seem to be an issue with the gallery plugin but keep in mind that BoldGrid Gallery is no longer being updated going forward.
But when trying to see why mine was working and yours was not I did actually spot that your images are all being served from a CDN. because of the way BoldGrid Gallery adds the images it the sitemap generator may not be picking up on the gallery images because of how the galleries are embedded. Meaning the CDN URL is all it’s picking up on. What you could try is adding the CDN URL to the Additional URLs section of the XML Sitemap plugin settings but I’m not sure if this will let you add them as a wildcard or if you would need to add them individually, it might be good to see if you can clarify that with the plugin developer.
The majority of my image gallery pages were originally created using the method in this link.
For example, pages like /2023-upholstery-photos
There are 23 other pages just like /2023-upholstery-photos
To save time, some of my image gallery pages were created using this method
As you recommended, I’ve also contacted BoldGrid Support

I do see you appear to have 8 photos in the sitemap which must be associated with the gallery you set up.
My set up I think is a bit different.
It’s a bit confusing because my page called Photo Gallery is not the page I made using the BoldGrid plugin Gallery. My page called Photo Gallery was made using the BoldGrid plugin Post and Page Builder. I started with a blank page and added a Gallery style Block. All the images on my page called Photo Gallery are links to the pages I made using the BoldGrid Plugin Gallery. There are 24 pages made with the Gallery plugin.
Have I explained the set up properly and is it similar to the way you set up your trial site or different.

In reply to: [XML Sitemap Generator for Google] Trying to Understand SitemapYes 4.1.18
I’m using InMotion hosing and support in recent weeks/months has become horrible. I’m waiting for a reply from chat, email and phone. I’ve looked thru various error logs, but I’m not sure what I’m looking for. Nothing I could find had the words XML Sitemaps.
My set up is BoldGrid as the website builder and the Crio Pro Theme. Both up to date.
I’ll be back when I have more information from InMotion.

In reply to: [XML Sitemap Generator for Google] Trying to Understand SitemapSo this is were I have to give my usual disclaimer: I’m an upholster/amateur webmaster.
I don’t see within the sitemap settings an error log. Where do I find the error log. Is it part of the debug function or somewhere else.

In reply to: [XML Sitemap Generator for Google] Trying to Understand SitemapYes, my apologies for not updating my post. I was reluctant to switch, whether temporary or not, as I’ve been using XML Sitemaps for 12 years or more. I’ve been switching back and forth between this and the other to be sure I have a working sitemap.
I know you asked me to grant access to my site to investigate the issue I’m having which I appreciate it, but to be honest, I didn’t want to disable 2-step authentication and change passwords after if that’s what would be involved.
Thank you for the offer for the Code & Filter. I’m using the BoldGrid plugin:
How would I use the code with a filter. Is it used in one of the sitemap options.
Not that it matters, but I was a long time user of Auctollo XML Sitemaps. I don’t believe an image sitemap was offered so having an image sitemap takes a bit of further education in terms of SEO with things like alt tags.
If I use the code, I would need to go over 24 years(24 photo gallery pages) to be sure the alt tags are correct.
