thanks for the reply. However that is not the problem. I neither reinstalled nor updated. I simply want to close that message and get rid of it. But every time I click the close button, it pops up right after I reload the page or navigate to another page within the WordPress dashboard.

And I will not click on “Sure! I want to get the latest news.” Because I don’t want no newsletter. I want this message to go away.

This is not a good solution at all. People who write newsletters are usually not Admins. This has to be built into the plugin!
