I modified wp-config.php and I see the website again, but still i cannot access the wordpress site or to request a new password. what do I do wrong?

At this point, i can only open the home page of my website, but when I click any link, I get 404 error. I guess it is sth about .htaccess file, as I had to add ssl certificate and from this moment I have some problems. unfortunately, I have no idea what to do now since I also cannot log in to wordpress.
