In reply to: [CodeGuard] Plugin do not update…Hello imarkdesigns,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We would like to investigate the issue that you saw, but I’m not exactly sure if you were experiencing a problem updating the plugin itself or performing a backup operation within the plugin. Could you please reply to this comment or send us an email ([email protected]), so that we can gather a bit more information about your situation?
Thank you again!

In reply to: [CodeGuard] Plugin not workingHi arnohist,
I think there may have been a bit of a miscommunication and I sincerely apologize that we gave you the impression that we did not know what caused your issue. Our plugin was designed to work with the median-sized WordPress site running on average shared hosting. As you found, in cases where WordPress installations do not meet the criteria to use our plugin, we do offer a much more reliable SFTP & MySQL (direct or ssh) product line that supports over 75,000 customers at 99.999% reliability levels, and backs sites up as large as 100GB.
We take the business of backing up your website very seriously and in the case where our plugin is not a good fit, we want to be able to quickly help customers move to a solution that does not depend as much on the size of their website or their underlying host.
If you encounter issues in the future with configuring your backup using either the plugin or our SFTP/MySQL products, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team and ask for me. We would be more than happy to assist you or any other customer with the configuration process to make it as smooth and pain-free as possible.

In reply to: [CodeGuard] Does what it's supposed to, with one strong caveatHi colorblindmonk and thank you for the review!
While the plugin does temporarily store the backups locally, those files are then uploaded to our service for storage. That way you have secure, automatic, off-site backups without worrying about setting up, paying for and managing something like Dropbox, Azure, or Amazon S3 to store your backups.
Thanks again for taking the time to give us a review.

In reply to: [CodeGuard] Multisite supportJean-Francois,
We have not yet done backup or restore testing with multisite installations. The plugin will include all of the WordPress core files and the entire database in the backup. So, as you would expect, everything should be included in one backup regardless of which sub-site created it.
We plan on enhancing the multisite capabilities in the near future and will absolutely incorporate your suggestions for ensuring that the backup configuration and management is in a more convenient and intuitive location.

In reply to: [CodeGuard] Menu position of CodeguardThank you so much for letting us know! We can definitely get this changed in the next update of the plugin. We’ve been focused on making the plugin work really well and totally overlooked the menu position.
Thank you again for the feedback!

In reply to: [CodeGuard] Show backup stats in front-endThank you so much for the feedback! Are you suggesting something like a McAfee or Norton trust seal that would go in the footer or sidebar of the public site?

In reply to: [CodeGuard] CodeGuard Backup Window and Initial BackupHi Rhand,
Thanks for trying out the plugin! We will definitely take your feedback to heart about the status update. As far as the hanging on zip part 223, our plugin was designed to work with the median-sized WordPress site, and your site sounds like it might be more special than the median or average!
We also have an SFTP & MySQL (direct or ssh) product line that supports over 75,000 customers at 99.999% reliability levels, and backs sites up as large as 100GB. Our recommendation is to give that product a try, if you like. You can even use it completely free if your site is less than 1GB, but our guess is that yours is larger than that. For sites over 1 GB, we do have 14 day trials.
Our Ninja Plan trial: https://codeguard.com/payments/new?plan=132
Our Free plan: https://codeguard.com/signup/create_openWe apologize for the difficulties you faced with the Plugin and hope that our alternative product line can better meet your needs. We can also assist in setting it up if you like.
Lastly, we don’t currently have plans for a WP CLI option but would love to hear more about it!
Thanks,
Jonathan
