In reply to: [Flow-Flow Social Feed Stream] Instagram video thumbnails constantly breakingI have had proxy images disabled almost from the beginning, to try and resolve this issue. This has been a persistent problem, since I installed this plugin about a year ago. I’ve been looking for a solution to this for almost that same amount of time and have seen many other user complaints about the issue.
You say it’s because of IG/FB expiring images for security, but that doesn’t explain why image thumbnails work just fine even when the video ones are broken.
I know that I can manually rebuild the feed cache, but are we supposed to rebuild it on an almost daily basis? Surely, there must be a better solution than that…

In reply to: [Flow-Flow Social Feed Stream] Instagram video thumbnails constantly breaking…crickets…
It was an issue with the Advanced noCaptcha & invisible Captcha plugin. I just had to disable that plugin for the login pages and now it seems to work.
Hey @vanyukov,
Thanks for the reply! So how would I go about enabling browser caching for the individual sites? I have enabled it on the primary domain, but running any of the others through a speed analyzer gives a warning that browser caching is not active.
I just figured it out, never mind. Apparently, in a multi-site instance, you cannot have subsite controls active? As soon as I set that option to “none” I was able to turn off usage tracking.
@awesomeoman The solution worked, but instead of making users go into MySql to edit data types, why don’t you just set the data type to text in the plugin itself? This is obviously not an isolated issue, since several of us are having it and not all users can easily manage their db

Did this ever get addressed? I’m here more than a year later with the same problem still…

In reply to: JavaScript broken after WordPress 3.9 updateAndrew,
I started with this company after the site was built (they outsourced it to India), so I’m still trying to figure out how/why they did things and the code is pretty messy. I’ve been digging around in the php files and this is what I’ve found:
For the “Publication” section, it appears they have used the Carousel Horizontal Content Slider plugin, but instead of seeing that under “Plugins” in WP, I see it under settings and there isn’t much to do in there.
For the “News Flash” section, they went with a jQuery bxSlider.
Neither of these are really “plugins” (I don’t think) and everything was working just fine yesterday, before we updated.

In reply to: JavaScript broken after WordPress 3.9 updateI’ve encountered a similar issue on https://airportrevenuenews.com, since the 3.9 update.
The sliders in the NEWS FLASH and PUBLICATION sections slide left for a second, but then just jump back to their initial position, instead of rotating through.
I’m not the best with jQuery or WordPress, but I looked around as good as I could and I can’t see what the problem is.
