I haven’t thought about the IP status being changed by the 3rd party… It makes sense. But, is the 3rd party access delay too big? I mean, to avoid blocking legit IP’s, shouldn’t the amount of days be minimum? What amount of days do you suggest?

BTW, another question: when old entries are removed from IP cache, both ham and spam entries are deleted or only spam?

Only returning IP’s that were previously identified as spammer and who’s connection was terminated will update their last seen date in the caching system. Every day, once a day, a routine runs to remove the IP’s who’s last seen date is X amount of days older than the date the routine runs.

AFAIK, the SQL used deletes both spam and ham (avh-fdas.public.php, line 112):
$result = $wpdb->query($wpdb->prepare("DELETE FROM $wpdb->avhfdasipcache WHERE ((TO_DAYS(%s))-(TO_DAYS(added))) > %d", $date, $days));

Since cached spam entries are used to filter comments, shouldn’t they be remain in the cache?

I decided to test this new version and started using Similar Posts plugin. It really works very nice and overcomes this feature removal…

On the other hand, I’m missing Click Tags and Manage Tags features. AFAIK, WP default tag edition does not support multiple renaming…

Same here! As far as I can see the feature I’ll miss the most is “related post”.

Looks like you should delete (or rename) the file .maintenance located on your blog root dir.

It’s very hard to read 167 posts at work. So, I’m sorry if this has been already suggested. What about:

1. a tool to move comments (among posts and threads) – there are a few plugins to move comments among posts, but AFAIK, none can move comments among threads;
2. include Viper007Bond’s plugin hability to regenerate thumbnails, into core;
3. an alternative naming convention to resized images – small, half and big, for example. To use dimensions may break links upon a thumbnail regeneration.

I have already reinstalled WordPress 2.7, and have just finished deleting all options that contained “update” in their option_name fields in wp_options…

…but the plugin update notification has not returned yet. I’m getting out of ideas…

I clicked on Tools > Updates (I think these are the names, I use pt_BR version) to see if there was an “upgrade all plugins” along with the “update wordpress” option…

I described both actions as clues to help pinpoint the problem…

Ah! Plugin upgrade notifications disappeared from plugins pages too…

Any ideas?
