In reply to: [WordPress Header Builder Plugin – Pearl] Page disappearing with a menuYou bet. So a bit of an update. When I just try to add a header, I get this. It’s just a logo, nothing else included.
But once I add a menu in the header builder, the page looks like this.
The only thing I’m changing is I’m adding a menu in the header builder.

In reply to: Media Library broken images, uploading issueCome to find out it was the size of the image I was trying to upload. It said 3Mb in the Finder — which of course can sometimes be misleading, though I didn’t think so at the time.
Still not sure what’s going on with the missing images. Once I uploaded the new image, that appeared. But the older ones are still not showing up. Since I’m not using them, I’m not going to worry about it.
Thanks for your help!

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] "Failed to send message" errorUPDATE: Through a bit of sleuthing, I’ve determined that the error is of the “# Sender’s message was failed to send” variety and not the spam kind.

In reply to: [Contact Form DB] "Failed to send message" errorDid that and it’s still not working. Same error. And I updated all of the related plugins, too.
Now, I’m also having a problem in Firefox that, once I load the home page, it sends me to another page that doesn’t exist.
This may be unrelated, but I thought I’d mention it anyway.

In reply to: [Clone] Restore works, sort ofI think you’re on to something…
It worked.
I did have to go through one more round of the “Install WordPress” business. But after that and after reactivating the WP Clone plugin and restoring from the alternate zip, it worked exactly as advertised.
Thanks for your help!

In reply to: [Clone] Restore works, sort ofYes, the original site is still live.
Are you saying use the alternate zip file in the advanced settings on the original site?
I’m going to give this a shot and see what happens…

In reply to: Add static textYeah. I tried moving some div tags around and now it’s just repeating the header text with every entry. Not exactly what I had in mind…

In reply to: No access? Error 403?After creating a number of databases, countless alterations to the wp-config.php file, deleting the .htaccess file, changing ‘localhost’ to my domain, saying a few dozen prayers, deleting cookies, setting the appropriate permissions to the appropriate directories and foregoing prayer in favor of hurling objects about the room, I am up and at ’em.
Much thanks macmanx for your assistance and patience.

In reply to: No access? Error 403?The permissions are properly set on the directory. Any tips (or links) on how to take care of a potential “rogue .htaccess” problem? I had the site running fine a couple of weeks ago.

In reply to: No access? Error 403?It’s the standard “You don’t have permission to access this page” that the server generates. It doesn’t look like anything Word Press generates.

In reply to: Can’t installUnfortunately, no, I don’t use cpanel. I use something called “Database Manager” or “DBManager.”
