In reply to: [Tabs Responsive - With WooCommerce Product Tabs Extension] HIGH BUGDo you click the “Publish” or “Update” button before refreshing the page?
Out of curiosity, what plugin did you switch to?
Apparently not…
BTW – you can place text and even javascript above or below the gallery shortcode on the tabs.
Just don’t leave any lines open in the javascript, or wordpress will insert HTML code for the line break
Well, then there’s that problem too.
My problem has not been resolved, but I have thought up a workaround.
#1 – you have to place your photo galleries on the first tab
#2 – you cannot have your photo gallery pages linked to a parent, as the Tabs Responsive truncates the long URL’s.
#3 – you cannot use more than three words for your photo gallery page title.
I’ve copied and pasted my most recent email to wpshopsmart support with examples.
The NextGen Photo Gallery was not working with the Free Version.
That was why I decided to experiment with the Pro Version.Did not work either way.
If I had to guess, there’s an issue with the way the Tabs Responsive is effecting my Long URL’s.
I left one sample page I’ve been experimenting with as an example of the problem I’m experiencing.
When I clicked the first thumbnail from:
https://coastestate.net/gallery-experimental-tab-page/
it results in the following url loading:
https://coastestate.net/gallery-experimental-tab/nggallery/image/1833
Any other thumbnail yields a similar result, just a different number at the end.
Where as if I click a link from a photo gallery not embedded in Tabs Responsive, such as:
https://coastestate.net/vacation-rentals/carmel/valley-views/photo-gallery/
https://coastestate.net/vacation-rentals/carmel/valley-views/photo-gallery/nggallery/image/1833
So if I edited the URL on that first page to be
https://coastestate.net/gallery-experimental-tab/
And it kind of works…When a thumbnail is clicked, the page resets to the the first tab
But when you return to the “Photo Gallery” tab, a full size photo displaysHowever, my usual “Search Engine Friendly” URL scheme, is more like
https://coastestate.net/vacation-rentals/carmel/gallery-experimental-tab/
When I click on the first thumbnail using that URL scheme, the URL is again truncated, but in a different way.
https://coastestate.net/gallery-experimental-tab/nggallery/image/1833
We lose the /vacation-rentals/carmel/
It’s a double issue, because if I change my url back to:
https://coastestate.net/vacation-rentals/carmel/gallery-experimental-tab-page/
and click the first thumbnail, we go to:
https://coastestate.net/gallery-experimental-tab/nggallery/image/1833
where both /vacation-rentals/carmel/ is truncated and so is the -page
Two months later this issue remains unresolved.
However, I see others are experiencing issues with Shortcodes from other plugins.
I’m sensing that the NextGenGallery shortcodes are my issue as well.
My two cents, if you’re going to use shortcodes on your pages, this might not be the plugin for you.
From my experience, you do retain your Tabs Responsive, but they did not integrate into Tabs Pro for me.
P.S. The same thing occurs in Tabs Pro.
The wysiwig editor “Insert Gallery” function fails and the image loads from clicking on the thumbnail as:
https://coastestate.net/pebble-beach-the-treehouse-on-shepherds-knoll
/nggallery/image/730AS I noted in the first two posts, when I try to insert a NextGen photo gallery using the wysiwig editor, nothing happens.
I tried setting up the gallery in the editor as Basic Thumbnails and Slideshow. When I click the “Insert Gallery” button, nothing happens. No code is inserted.
So I inserted the gallery using the NextGen standard; [nggallery id=”118″]
The thumbnails on https://coastestate.net/vacation-rentals/pebble-beach/treehouse/ load up just fine. However…when a photo is clicked on, the page errors out on load. Probably because it is loading as:
https://coastestate.net/pebble-beach-the-treehouse-on-shepherds-knoll
/nggallery/image/730it seems the Tab title, “Pebble Beach: The Treehouse on Shepherds Knoll” is being inserted and overwriting the linking scheme.
Any ideas how to work around this?
The page I need help with: https://coastestate.net/vacation-rentals/pebble-beach/treehouse/
Is there a different way to write the Gallery into the tab, that will prevent the erroneous link to the larger image?
Since this thread received no response in a weeks time, I decided to experiment with purchasing Tabs Pro.
That was disappointing. Neither the “Add Media” nor the Add Gallery functions work in the WYSISWYG editor.

In reply to: [Longevity] Menu not working properly in current environmentThinking things through, I thought maybe the problem was in the JavaScript.
I changed the JavaScript minifier from Google Closure Compiler to JSMin.It’s working fine on our two windows desktops, in Safari on the iPhone, but not working in Chrome on the Android – which is the biggest share of my traffic.

In reply to: [Longevity] Page load speedAn error error I had been constantly seeing at https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/ was as follows:
Leverage browser caching for the following cacheable resources:
https://coastestate.net/…t/themes/longevity/images/scanlines1.png (expiration not specified)
I have been using W3 Total Cache, which per the release notes for version 0.9.5.2 was to address this error. However, it continues even after the update and purging all caches.
Not to mention, my menu will no longer display on mobile devices, and appears to be missing on smaller displays such as laptops.

In reply to: My problem with NextGen gallery ImagesI had already tried every solution to this problem I could find on the internet prior to posting my request for info.
Disabling plugins did not work.
Default theme did not work
Changing file permissions did not work. So, I reversed the one thing that I had done before the problem occurred.
I disabled the “Show Slideshow” link.
Everything else works fine now

In reply to: [AccessPress Ray] Responsive Doesn't Work After Recent UpdateOh good, it’s not just me. Guess I’ll switch to another theme. I cannot afford downtime and it seems like the AccessPress team is absent from this forum.
