Yes true, upon checking by the host provider, there was an activity of eval code in index.php and therefore they have assisted in replacing the file with the default index.php and resetting my password to wp-admin. I did not know how this happened, and i’m looking into to prevent this problem in the future.

I still cannot solve the problem. It has been few days and I’m worried. I don’t know what to do.

There are nothing wrong with the index.php or .htaccess files, permission code is 644.

What should I do now?

The funny thing is, when I search for .htaccess, it says it is located in /public_html/.htaccess but when I go to that particular folder and look for the file, the file isn’t there. I cannot see any file by the name of .htaccess
