I am having the same issue. I am still working with tech support but the issue is not resolved yet and I haven’t heard from them since I provided information they requested a day and a half ago, so hoping they haven’t lost track of my issue.
We have a licensed version. Users make payments using the PayPal add-on but the form gets stuck “processing” when returning from PayPal. Therefore no screen confirmation shows and no notification emails are sent.
The only time it works is when I am logged in to site and run the form in preview mode. When I run the form in page mode it gets stuck whether I am logged into site admin or not.
We have tested with 2 different browsers, cleared history, purged cache, followed the protocol disabling all plugins, changing theme to Twenty-X etc. Have run in sandbox and live, and provided error logs.

Kudos. I just installed bbPress Restrictions to manage unlogged users.
It appeared to be working – unlogged visitors were successfully blocked from forum content until I upgraded php to 7.1. I got an Internal Server error when accessing the forums page. I could, however access topics directly.
I purged cache but still no luck.
Disabled and enabled bbPress Restrictions and bbPress.
Purged cache again.
Still no luck.Reverted to php 7.0 and all is well again.
Any ideas? I am happy sticking with php 7.0. just thought you might want to know.

Sorry, that got away from me before I was finished…
More information/clarification. All menu items with child items are dropping down when hovering. Next, on clicking a menu item all child items disappear. Then, on second click, appropriate child items appear correctly for that menu item.

Should I uninstall WordFence first? Then delete all wordfence tables in database, then reinstall?

Thank you for responding. I figured there were some plugin options. But, was hoping to modify the twenty fifteen widget in a child theme. It doesn’t seem as if it should be that difficult.
If I can’t figure it out, I will go with a plugin. If I can, I will post a solution.

Additionally, I would request a tutorial for using custom post ui specifically with the twenty fifteen theme. I am convinced there is something inherent in that theme that may cause some of the issues I am experiencing. I do get the post content, but the entry-content background color and styling disappears even though I did not custom changes there.
Possibly I need to connect some dots that I am not aware of, however this does not appear to be a problem with other themes such as twenty sixteen.
It is too late to switch themes for this site so any ideas would be welcome.
I did post on another thread, so hoping this is appropriate here.
Any ideas would sure be welcome.

I then offered to send a group email as webmaster for the sites to each customer who had messaged over the past 6 months explaining a technical error and apologizing for the inconvenience.
