We have been able to resolve this problem on slack.
The main problem appeared to be the quotes being in a wrong format. The quotes on the tags need to be in plain format.
Hi @stevemayall
It appears that you are entering too much information into the field.
If you leave out the <amp-analytics> and <script> tags it should be saved and used as expected.Edit: this is not correct

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Possible links added to post?Hi FluorescentTurban,
This sounds like a serious problem and if you don’t know where the links come from that is likely being adding by a malicious script.
Yoast SEO is not generating any links automatically!
I hope you can resolve this problem quickly.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Database errorHi ramisadi,
I’m sorry to hear you are having problems with using our plugin.
Can you tell me the version of the plugin you are using? If you are not using 5.8 yet, could you upgrade to this version and tell us this is not solving the problem?
Best,

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Rerun the Link CounterHi Garrett,
I’m sorry to inform you that there is no easy button to achieve this problem.
If you have access and knowledge about database, you can remove all entries from thewp_yoast_meta
table. This will reset the Internal Link Counter data. Please keep in mind that this will change in the future.
We have noted this use-case in our future development roadmap to try and see if we can implement something to make this easier.
Best regards,

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Fatal error: Call to undefined function apply_filters_deprecatedHi @digidip
This is a function which is introduced in WordPress 4.6.
We support WordPress two versions back, but as 4.9 has just been released do are currently still completely compatible with 4.6.Upgrading your WordPress version will resolve this problem.
I hope this helps!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] “The SEO title is wider than the viewable limit.” How to Fix?Hi Victorb70
You can configure the template which is used to build the page title in the settings.
It sounds like you have the description entered in this template.
The default template is: “%%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%”
This does not include the description. You can find these settings at the “Titles & Metas” submenu under “Post types”
I hope this helps!
