  • I suspect this may be related to Twitter. I was having the same issue on the homepage of our site, and the buttons suddenly showed up after I deleted our Twitter information. Before deleting the information, I had noticed that when I hovered over the Twitter follow link on the pages that the buttons were showing up on, it wasn’t showing the Twitter link, but a link to the current page URL with “/#” at the end of it. Although this means there is no longer a link to our Twitter page in the Follow widget, it has resolved the issue for now.

    Just to update:

    – I still am not seeing all of the Events that I should on the Calendar, but now believe it may be related to a timeout issue we’ve been having. (I see a timeout error if I “View Source” of the page.) I’d like to suggest a “View Upcoming Events Only” checkbox for the Calendar View, similar to the “Show only the first upcoming instance of recurring events” checkbox that appears on the Photo View. (I really like the Photo View btw!)

    – The sorting is still not working correctly in the admin area on this page: “../wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events”. Sorting by “End Date” is only semi-sorting by “End Date”. I suspect it is sorting by type of end date (recurring vs. non-recurring, etc.) before the actual end date, because it is somewhat sorted correctly…with the occasional not-sorted-correctly date thrown in. Clicking “Organizer” or “Venue” column headers also gives me “no events found”.

    Organizer sort link: “../wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&orderby=tribe_sort_ecp_organizer_filter&order=asc”

    Venue sort link: “../wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&orderby=tribe_sort_ecp_venue_filter&order=asc”

    Current plugin versions:
    – The Events Calendar 3.0.2
    – The Events Calendar: Community Events 3.0.1
    – The Events Calendar PRO 3.0.4

I am using the PRO version, as well as the “Community Events” add-on. I was on the most recent update as of my original post, but I see that there is now a new update for all 3 plugins. I will be updating to the newer versions today.

I used to go in on a daily basis to remove any events that had completely passed (including the individual instances that had passed of recurring events that were still recurring). I did this to help with the issue of the calendar not showing all of the events that it should. The system seemed to be limiting the number of events listed to a certain number, and deleting past events helped more relevant events be shown on the calendar. (Our readers aren’t looking to see what has already happened, but what is coming up event-wise.)

I know there were also a few events that recurred on say a weekly basis, but would skip a week because of a holiday or something. Would these now need to be entered as separate events? (One before the skipped week, and one after?) I used to be able to simply delete the skipped week’s instance.

I forgot to mention on my original post that sorting by “End Date” in the admin area was no longer sorting correctly. I will try again on the new version.
