Thank you for your reply, which I did not see until now. OK, so where is this database that I have to edit directly? I thought Manage Subscribers WAS the database.

    Resolved. Thank you.

I did not add any plugins
The validator shows 72 errors, 70 of which I have no clue. The last two are a br tag, which has always been allowed up til now, and some javascript that I did not put in there. Let me see what happens when I take it out.

    Thanks.

Thank you for the response. No, I shall do that and report back.

Has this issue left everyone speechless? Or do you simply not believe me? Is there a better place to post my query? This is sincerely a problem, since my constituents feel unable to communicate.

It is possible that the recipients have had their mail settings changed and that the mail is now blocked.

Not that I know of, I have not changed their mail settings and they wouldn’t know how.

Have there been any changes to php mail settings on the server?

Again, not that I know of, but please tell me exactly where to find these.

Are you running the latest version of subscribe2, ie. 2.2.2 and wordpress 2.0.3,

    2.2.2 and 2.0.2.

and have you installed any other plugins since it last worked?

    No.

Also, can you still see the e-mail addresses of your subscribers in the management area, or is it blank?

    Still see them.

Thank you for responding, and I apologize for my tardiness, I can only get to this about once a week.

<Whew!> Thanks gang. Somehow some javascript got added at the end of my addendum, when I deleted that, everything came back. (I don’t mess with javascript, so I don’t know how that got added on.) (Helluva confession from someone who used to TEACH JAVA, fer cryin out loud)

Terrific! Now…since I don’t have a link on my page, where exactly do I go to get to my admin panel to delete the post?

To make it easier for you to help me, I think there is supposed to be something called subscribe.php in the main /blog folder? There isn’t. Is this the subscriber database? I don’t think it can be, since the Manage Subscribers page DOES list all the subscribers. So the database is intact but no one is getting notifications of new posts. Please help.

Thank you for your reply. More questions, though. If there is a difference between subscribing and registering, and subscribing is an option, why is the lowest level of member called a “Subscriber”? That’s just a coincidence, I take it?

Second, I have discovered why my user was unable to leave a comment. The Akismet plug-in stored his comment as spam. How do I teach Akismet who my registered users are?
