  • Not to blow up the thread but I was able to fix mine. I set my permalink to custom and used “/%category%/%postname%/”. Of course the category part gets omitted when referring to a page (as opposed to a post). Now all my events link to “/event/city-state” formats and no more 404 message! Also, not sure if this is necessary but I already had an empty post-category named “Events” whose slug was “event”.

I am having the same problem. It only works with the default permalink settings. When I set it back to post name (which is much more search engine friendly and user friendly) it goes back to error 404.

Wondering if anyone can help me here? I did everything as stated above: copy/ paste code, found my app ID/ secret/ and Page UID (only saw one, not three like halydris mentioned) and set the web access. Still not getting synchronized events. Also, correct me if I am wrong but when I tell it to ‘update’ it will synchronize both facebook and WP right? not just pull new events from facebook?

I think it has been resolved. I haven’t really done anything different to it since I posted here other than switch between the theme’s available page templates but when it was set to “default template” that was when i got that error. Thanks anyways.
