In reply to: Error message after “user” loginsHello Steve,
While trying to follow your second suggestion above, and looking around in the file manager for this site on Network Solutions, I discovered that there were two wp-config.php files in different locations (I guess haven’t done the greatest job keeping this thing organized).
I inserted the line (giving an expanded memory instruction) you recommended in your first advice into that file – and it worked!
So, thanks for staying with me! Very much appreciated!!
Best,
Jim

In reply to: "memory overload" message preventing administration of siteHello Bill,
I had to use Filezilla to move the plugins to a temp folder. I was then able to get full use of the admin pages (although the public site looked pretty wild during this process). I then used Filezilla to move one plugin at a time back into the normal plugin folder. Each time I reactivated the plugin in the admin page, checked the public site to make sure the plugin had taken effect, and ran test activity in the admin pages to make sure I didn’t get another memory overload whiteout.
Worked like a charm – thanks!!

In reply to: Paste from WordI’ve implemented your solution – thanks!
Now I’ll have to wait for the new problem with the editing window not letting me into the visual pane (even though it shows me as being there, it’s actually in the html pane) to see how it works.
But I’m sure it will work fine – thanks again for your time, effort, and detailed explanation – much appreciated!

In reply to: Post editing window stuckReopening in the probably vain hope that I actually get some help – the problem reappeared today: the editing window indicates that I am in the “visual” pane, but it is actually the “html” pane, and I am unable to switch panes – can write, save, and publish posts – just have to do it using and viewing the html.
