In reply to: [Quark] Quark theme – how to change footer informationI’m talking about the Quark theme that this forum was created for. I don’t see an Options in the Main menu, perhaps you have a page builder installed that changes things around? Either that or your in the wrong forum ??

In reply to: [Connections Business Directory] No Loopback request in staging siteSteven, just confirmed everything you said, I temporarily disabled the protected directory and was able to get to health were there were no errors. I wasn’t worried about the errors in health so much as being logged out of the directory when going to health, I have never experienced that before either.
Thanks for your help. Problem is resolved now, after reenabling the site directory I can now get to the health screen. The issue must have been something in the original protected URL that WP didn’t like, I’m guessing.

In reply to: [Connections Business Directory] No Loopback request in staging siteYes, It duns me with the login box, but when I enter them and press enter, it just shows me the box again which prevents me from doing anything else on the page. It only has this behavior on the WP Health screen, everywhere else, it’s fine. I realize this will almost certainly go away once I make the site live, just trying to figure out why it’s doing this.

In reply to: [Connections Business Directory] No Loopback request in staging siteThat’s the password to the directory, it does not grant any WordPress privilege’s, not even subscriber. I thought if you could see the site, you might be able to use your browser dev tools to see what’s going on.

In reply to: [Connections Business Directory] No Loopback request in staging siteThe DIRECTORY itself is password protected. The site in question is at:
https://staging2.southlewiscountychamber.com/Credentials to see the site are UN: jim PW: stgngslcc
Sorry, I can’t give out the admin credentials. The only issue I can find with the site is if I go to the tools > health screen in admin, it logs me out of the directory ( Not WordPress) If I disable your plugin, I can access tools > health without any problems.

In reply to: [Quark] Deprecated: block_categoriesDoh, never mind, looked closer, issue isn’t with a theme file. WTF?
Anthony, I do not offhand, I’ll see if I can find it again later today.
Hello, been doing some further investigating and this issue is in the WP bug trac, apparently it’s effected several themes and hopefully WordPress will get it fixed in the future. Note: If anyone else has this issue, a cludge fix is to embed the video with the html block which does work.
I’ve done this and instead of an error, I now get a warning:
—————
“Because a cookie’s SameSite attribute was not set or is invalid, it defaults to SameSite=Lax, which will prevent the cookie from being sent in a cross-site request in a future version of the browser. This behavior protects user data from accidentally leaking to third parties and cross-site request forgery.”
—————
But, the video shows up and plays, which is the important thing.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Ephemeris] Child theme templates questionThanks again,
I really like quark and this theme shows great promise, I’m glad it was a just a gremlin, I was kind of lost as to what the issue was.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Ephemeris] Child theme templates questionI just tried again also and it worked this time here to. Hmm I have no idea why it flaked out the first time.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Plugin Slows Down Website (Confirmed)I’ve put the free version on one site. I’ve never purchased and I’m using competitors products on all new development do to this issue. Also, it irritates me that the spacing has never been fixed in the address.php for single venue display. Someone else brought that display issue up over two years ago.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Google Search Console “missing field location”I have the same problem. Added an event with a Venue and an organizer, both with addresses that work for other events. About one a month Google will throw the error.
Could it be related to the lack of spacing in between the address elements in the src/views/modules/address.php???
Hard to believe you want people to pay for such buggy software with such poor support. I found the answer to fix the spacing issue from a two year old post where another user found the correct template to modify.
Pissing off Google is a big no no, maybe Tribe should pay us to use their software?
The warning is still there. It shows up two places, in the admin on the edit page with the shortcode and on the front end when displaying that page.
