Hi bcworkz, I’m using a paid for theme called Striking, which is very nice.

I think I’m going to spend some time on this and use this as way to learn more about php and css. I’m going to keep Anastis code and eventually I’ll figure out where and how to use it.

I what to be able to understand how to change the look of the comment form. I’m thinking it should be possible to use the comment form as microblog, but I want to give it a different look.

Hey Anastis, I’ve given this a try and it did not change anything anything. I appreciate your effort. One question, is there another php file besides functions.php that I might try? My functions file does not have much in it.

Thank you, that did help with displaying the field. The new problem is that the email field seems to only recognize information that is in an email format. It does not retain text in a City, State, Country format. So that kills that idea.

I guess I need to do an update to my last post. I was getting frustrated because I was expecting to be able to choose which page I wanted the auto posts to go to. I guess it doesn’t work that way? All the posts went to my home page.

is there anyway to choose which page the auto posts go to?

I need the same help. Sounds like it might be a great plugin, but I can’t figure you how you get the content to a page. Are there shortcodes? Do you have to do some PHP programming? Which I can’t do so the plugin would not be an answer for me.

I’m sure the program works, but I can’t figure you how. There’s lots of options and setup but it doesn’t seem to go anywhere. Like a wheel that spins but doesn’t move.

I’ve been testing this using a test blog and it seems to work great.

When you create a new post, a summary and link for the post is placed on the forum page in the forum you indicated on the setup. If someone create a comment on the Post page the comment will also appear on the forum page. If a comment is created on the forum page, that will comment will also appear on the Post page.

I guess there are several advantages to this. One, if you like to show off your comments, this is a good way to do it. Two, if you are tempted to try to create a forum for your blog this assures there will be activity on the forum and perhaps encourage more activity by visitors.

    Good job David!

This plugin is a great idea and I look forward to seeing how it develops.

Just to let you know I am also getting the some error message note in the above comments.

But I went to the index.php file, to line 236, added and extra “_” before the “_(‘Create…” and the error message went away.

    I got this working.

Here’s what happened: In the code “define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);” it looks like the little ” ` ” before the ” W ” got change to a slightly different format.

They say it’s the little things that matter.

One more bit of info that might help.

When I went to install WordPress in the root directory, I got an error message because it wanted me to delete the index file, which I did and then WordPress installed.

But earlier this week I was playing with building a website and perhaps that caused changes in the files that are preventing WordPress from creating the network ? Just a thought.
