Thanks for reply guys, I have uploaded my theme and some images to the site now using the permission 757, but my question was is this safe? I can change back to 755 once they are all uploaded but it is just very annoying having to change the permission on the upload folder every time I want to add a new image?

For any one that has this problem in future ,

I had to turn on something called PHP Module or PHP Support in my Hosting settings.

Thankyou for quick replies but onfortunately I’ve tried this and nothing changes. Very weird because I’ve installed wordpress plenty of times and never come accross this…

unfortunately the site isnt live yet so I’ve had to change my host file in order to view the development so the URL wouldnt work?

Cheers guys so In your opinion what is the preferred option or the ‘easier’ way?

Just don’t want to get a site done and then struggle to get it live …
