I did what you want to do to another theme which was 2-column. I looked at the FallingLeaves theme files. They seem to be similar to what I modified. From my recollection, I created a php file called leftbar.php and put in it what I wanted. I just copied the sidebar.php file and edited it.

Then at the top of the sidebar.php file, I think I added an include statement to include the new leftbar file or I might have done this in the index.php file (I forget at this point).

I will know better what I did, when I get home. If you can wait that long and if you don’t get any other ways of doing this, please email me at jwurster at comcast dot net.

I’m looking at your site in IE and there is a probelm with your header img. It displays outside your content area to the left. There also is a problem with the footer in that the content pink color overflows to the right, same height as the footer and about the same amount that the header img overflows to the left.

It looks okay in IE for me.

I think the problem here is related to a cut and paste from a wordprocessor into one of you posts.

sym0n, your issue is in the robots post, I believe. Did you cut and paste from somewhere else?

What is the code that is generating the archives list in your sidebar? What is the function that is being used?

My job is support for a large financial organization. It’s all about the expectations of the user. Some support is critical and some is not. Then again, critical means different things to different people. Even I get frustrated when trying to find an answer to a question. However, we need to remember that this here in the WP support forum is all volunteer. And the volunteers are great.

Clearing the cache is not usually the first thing we think of when we have a problem after making changes to our theme (or in my case to a plugin). I had problems for hours when trying to make a simple change to a plugin. In reality all I had to do was to clear the browser cache.

But, it’s still a problem if FF is not showing what you want.

When I view your site in IE, I see the same picture. Are you using IE or FF or some other browser?

Maybe your cache needs to be cleared. Try Ctrl-F5 if you are using IE.

What is missing from the picture that you can’t see?

There is something in the css style sheet that limits the height of the header image to 200px. Go into Admin, then Presentation and then Theme editor. Look for header. It should be limiting the height to 200px.

I’m using IE and can see the entire header.

I have the same archive on my blog. I can check it later to see what I use.
