I seems to be having the same symptoms that both @wpranger and @bwooster47 had.
It started with 3.7.1 and persists until now — 3.8.Neither claudi.fa‘s solution nor copying over updated language files (

It’s brilliant idea but unfortunately according to elFinder developers (std42.ru) multi-panel mode needs elFinder code to be rewritten almost entirely.Alternatively, in the next version of elFinder will be support of Drag’n’Drop from the file tree to the folder section.
Of course you’re right. I was thinking of making 2 settings pages where the second one has advanced settings, not so necessary things for the most of users.
Anyway it’s first release of the plugin, so we’ll see about that in a while.It’s not the plugin problem but yours.
Pay attention to these settings:
- ?List of mime-types allowed to upload?
- ?List of mime-types disallowed to upload?
- ?Order of upload rules execution?
So if the second one is set to ?all? it’s not necessary to be surprised and report the plugin as broken.

K, it seems I solved post-activation problem. Activation must be really smooth now. Thank You.Since You’ve installed plugin before fix was did, You need to change some of the elfinder settings and save it. This must help with variable types problem.
